Who Dat?

Any ideas?  I'm guessing if you saw the back side, and the back tattoo of this former porn star, many would know right away.  Check out more on the NEXT PAGE HERE:

Petr Nekoranec: Tenor & Toned

Recently, I was thinking about all the sites and blogs devoted to the male form that have closed.  Some ended by choice, others were abruptly closed by censorship or sites and domains shutting down or changing focus.  I remember awhile ago, Google decided to shut down all 'mature blog' and I thought FH was soon to join the list of closed sites.  Thankfully, a huge response from users had them decide to keep Blogger going.

One of my favorite sites used to be BARIHUNKS.  The blog had a very specific focus, the sexiest baritone hunks from Opera.  Although the site closed in 2020, it is still up and archives remain.  I remember discovering the site back in 2012.  I think it was after seeing shots of opera baritone Gabriel Bermudez naked in the shower n the opera Les mamelles de Tirésias.  I did a post on it back in 2012 that you find HERE:

One of the reasons I loved BARIHUNKS so much was because of how it altered my perception.  Although I've seen, and been involved in a lot of Theatre, I was never really that knowledgeable about Opera.  I'd seen a few Gilbert and Sullivan operettas growing up, but never really a classical opera.  Growing up, like so many, when I thought of opera singers, I thought of a rather large woman or man, belting out a song with horns on their head.

Obviously this visual with Viking helmet  is a stereotype, but years of seeing it in Saturday morning cartoons made it stick.   When I was thinking of the old BARIHUNKS site, I decided it was time to find, not a hot baritone, but a hot tenor to feature on the site.  The research didn't take long, as within just a few minutes I came images of the stunning Czech Artist and tenor Petr Nekoranec.

The 34 year old tenor is known as one of the most outstanding talents of the young Czech singing generation. Nekoranec was a soloist of the Stuttgart State Opera, where he assumed various roles in operas including; Il barbiere di Siviglia, La cenerentola and Don Pasquale. Nekoranec continues to perform in operas all around the glove  As you can see from the images below, the toned tenor is not shy about showing off his voice, nor his beauty and body when performing on stage.

John Mar: Natural Fabrics 🌈

'Live your life in color!'

Although most countries officially celebrate PRIDin June, PRIDE season actually runs June through September.  In small town where I reside, the parade is later in the summer, as not to conflict with the major parades and celebrations in the larger cities nearby.    Given how PRIDE month irritates so many intolerants on the right, I guess it's a good thing most don't actually realize it's actually a four month season.

I've always had sort of conflicting feeling about PRIDE.  It's not that I'm not proud of who I am, it's more that I've always struggled with the feeling proud over something natural, and something I had, nor have any control over.  I had no control over my sexuality.  Much like my height, my race, and who my family members are, they are just what they are.  They were the natural cards I was delt.

When I think of self-pride, I don't think of my sexuality, nor  do I really even  think about my career, education or accomplishments.  I most associate pride with who I am as a person.  How I treat other people, how I loath cruelty of any kind.  I think of how I've tried  to help others, how I treat animals, and my respect for nature.  I think of how I strive to be a good friend, a good son, a good brother and a decent human being.

Over time however, I've made the connection to those things I can control, with those that I can't.  Those natural parts of me formed the fabric to allow and support me to be who I am, and to motivate how I act and how I try to treat others. I'm sure my struggles with self-acceptance as a teen, helped my understanding of others who struggle.  The cruelty I experienced as a kid has no doubt impacted my feelings on the issue as an adult.

Who I am, and what I'm proud of is a combination of things I can control, and the thigs I cannot.  I guess beyond what is, it's more specifically how I choose to experience, process and handle both my natural qualities with my chosen characteristics.  Either way, I now realize that both stem from being a part of the LBGTQ community.

I also know that over the past ten years or so, the community needs PRIDmore than ever.  Both an internal sense of pride, and the external celebrations that are part of the month and season.  Rainbow flags, crosswalks and symbols have been systematically been removed from public spaces and places over the last decade, the last year and half in particular.

When it came to visual representations of PRIDE , there is a one particular artist who's captured some of my favorites.  I love the way photographer John Mar captures the beauty of the rainbow symbol in the fabric he incorporates within his images.   John loves the contrast of the model, often in black and white, with the supersaturated color of the fabric.  The fabric not only captures the rainbow, but the freedom and beauty of living a life of color.

Flippin’ for Florida — Flip-Flops & Palms.

While we're on the subject of PRIDE, Florida gets a bad wrap.  Some of it is deserved, I mean the orange anus calls the state home.  In addition, the current Governor has signed a slew of anti-LBGTQ bills, created some of the most discriminatory measures in the country.  Back in July of 2024, the state tourism marketing agency, Visit Florida, also quietly removed it's dedicated LGBTQ+ travel section as well as dozens of related landing pages from its website.

But, like the current squatter in the White House, (which these days is looking like a run-down and long closed themed park) DeSanctimonious will not be there forever.  The bigoted blowhard's final term ends this January, so who knows what will happen after that.  I remember a more welcoming Florida, one I spent time in when I was younger.

Recently, I came upon a threat on Twitter dedicated to hot men on old Florida post cards and tourism  promotional material.  Sure, most seem aimed at straight women, but they knew exactly what they were doing.  Although most of these images are decades old, they knew full well how much money gay couples and single gay tourists have poured into the State.

When I was in my late teens, my parents used to rent a house in Florida for a few months each year.  They usually go January through April to escape our snowy winters.  Now these were not family trips, my siblings and I were left at home.  They usually sent with other couples.  Although it was not a kids trip, given I was almost 20, I was allowed to visit, for a short period of time anyway...

I flew down several times for a few days to a week at a time.  The house my parents rented was in Madeira Beach, not exactly a hub of excitement back then.  Usually, I'd spend a day with my parents, then take the bus into Tampa, or the 2 hour ride into Orlando.  Three, I'd visit the parks, and explore sides of myself I wasn't as comfortable to explore at home...

I was still in the closet then, but being in a place so far from home, especially one where no one knew me, I felt free to be myself.  Some of my first same-sex experiences took place in the sunshine state.  For the most part it was just kissing and playing and plenty of dancing.  Still, even dancing back then felt very 'Footloose' like, something forbidden, that I could never do at home.

Hopefully Florida will get it's mojo back, and it's welcoming reputation back, when DeSantis is in the history books. Unlike the history the idiot has tried to erase, his bigotry should be chronicled and remembered.  Florida is one of the most culturally diverse states in the country with vibrant night life in the cities with art, culture and clubs not found anywhere else.

It's also a hub for photography of the male form.  Some of my favorite photographers and models live and work in Florida, and I've been able to feature many shoots of hot men posing in Florida studios and along it's coastline.  Loved diving into these old promotional images and post cards.  If any viewers have more, love to add them in!
