Seasonal Sightings:

Whatever Will Be, Will Be

I haven't watched Days of our Lives in quite a while, but I added a few of last weeks to my PVR last week because of the show's 60th anniversary celebration.   It was nice to see some new faces, some hot newcomers and some old favorites.  One of my favorites faces to see again was that of Chandler Massey who plays Will.  The image above is from last weeks shows.

Massey got a bit of on-line flack during his last long run on the show for 'going through the motions.'  I only watched sporadically then, but the writing for Will really wasn't that compelling the last few years Massey was on the show.  Still, it's up to the actor to make the most of what they're given.

That being said, some of my most powerful moments from the watching the show were during Will's coming out story arc.  Massey was incredible during those scenes, especially when interacting with his mother, (Alison Sweeney) and especially his grandmother. (Diedre Hall).  It was nice to see Will, and Massey again, and I'd return to the show if was a back with a decent story.  If only they could get Sami (Sweeney) back more often as well!

FaVorite FiVe: Jaimie Wilson

'Trans & Proud'

This past summer, I put together a day of posts celebrating trans models, actors and performers. (HERE:)  Like so many, I was repulsed last year during the US election when the transgender community were vilified, viciously attacked and othered to win points with bigoted and narrow-minded voters.  Although predictably, the cruelty subsided once the votes were cast, the damage was done.  It was used to spew hate and to divide, and sadly will be dusted off again when needed by the right.

'When I realized that I was “different” I decided I would never come out. It just wasn’t an option for me because I knew how my family would react. It was something I was just going to have to bury deep and deal with. But I woke up one morning and decided I was done living a lie.'

Although I'm guessing FH doesn't have a huge viewership among the far-right and MAGA population, I still wanted to continue to do my part, albeit small, to celebrate the community. This being transgender awareness week, (Nov 13th-19th) it seemed a good time to continue.  Recently I came upon some images of model, musician  and tattoo artist  Jaimie Wilson.  Some of you may already know  parts of Jaimie's story and his trans activism through media stories, including a profile in the New York Times.

Given this is FH, I was (...duh) also drawn to Jaimie through visuals, and his handsome face and incredible body.  Most of these images are a couple of years old.  Those who follow Jaimie on-line know that his passion for body art has grown, both as an artist, and as a living canvas.  Jaimie has added quite a few tats since these early photo shoots, and as well grown his hair both on his head and face.  He looked incredible then and incredible now and shows every inch of his bodies canvas on his OnlyFans.

FaVorites: Lucas Bergvall

'I want to keep going, I want to win things, we have five or six things to win this year. I want to go for everything '

Lucas Erik Holger Bergvalli s a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and the Sweden national team. Born and raised in Stockholm, Bergvall advanced through the academy of Brommapojkarna, where he was part of the winning team of the 2019 U13 Madrid Football Cup, beating youth teams from the academies of Bayern Munich, Atlético Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona

As the images confirm, the adorable 19 year old truly does embody many of the visual components usually included in a Disney prince.  Great face, tall and lean and that perfectly floppy hair and bang.  Lucas looks like he would be perfect visual come to life as the Sami younger brother of Kristoff in Frozen.

Like Kristoff however, Lucas Bergvall also has the odd accident, including recently suffering a concussion.  If you follow European Football, (soccer to us) you may have read that Bergvall was forced to withdraw from Sweden squad due to the aftereffects from his concussion. It was clear to those who watched, that Bergvall got hit hard early on in the 1-0 home loss to Chelsea two weeks ago.

The Swedish international midfielder took a ball to the noggin inside two minutes and looked dazed on the pitch, even as he was getting looked over by Tottenham Hotspur’s physios. If this were five years ago, he’d likely have been allowed to continue, but Premier League’s concussion protocol mandated that he be withdrawn after exhibiting symptoms.  Get well soon Prince!
