Reflections...

We used to be a civilized society...

There was a time when protesters could strip down and jump into the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool with only the risk of getting arrested.  Today, they also have to worry about  itchy rashes, hives, irritated skin, and bumping into dead ducks.  The orange idiot ruins everything!  Haven't protestors suffered enough without now also having to worry about algae induced skin conditions and painful, fluid-filled blisters.

The good ole' days...

Rum Tum Tugger

'Can you say of your bite that it's worse than your bark.'
Rum Tum Tugger

If anyone attended Broadway Bares this past Sunday night, they enjoyed featured performer, singer, actor and dancer Sydney James Harcourt.  Gone are the days when images and video from Broadway Bares hit the Internet within hours of the show.  The last few years, seeing images and videos has been a challenge.  I've read a few accounts however, that Harcourt was a stand-out, not surprising if you're familiar with his work.

I first noticed Harcourt's hotness and talent during his turn in the original cast of Hamilton.  I included Harcourt, (who played various roles, including as an understudy for Aaron Burr) when I did my tribute to the hit Broadway show last year. (HERE:)  I didn't include Harcourt when I did my Tony recap last week, (HERE:) as I was on the phone during the cast  performance from Cats: Jellicle Ball.

I watched a few days later prior to erasing the recording from my DVR.  The performance was certainly a highlight from the show.  So much energy and joy, and a show so desperately needed in today's political climate.   I loved Harcourt's quick bit  at the beginning with Paul Rudd, and Rum Tum Tugger was certainly a sexy highlight.  Despite his seemingly natural expression of sexy, Harcourt says he wasn't also so comfortable in his own skin while growing up.

'Gene Kelly [in Singin’ in the Rain] is my masculine archetype of realness, and that brand of Tugger realness in particular. When I first heard that Tugger is like, the sexiest cat in the world, I just felt a little intimidated by needing to go out on stage and be the sexiest cat in the world.'

Harcourt has obviously grown into his hotness, and in addition to strutting it off on stage, recently appeared with and interview, and these hot images for Playgirl.com.  In addition to his role in Cats: Jellicle Ball, the talented performer also appeared on stage in shows including; Girl from the North Country, American Idiot and The Lion King. On film and television Harcourt appeared in roles in DOC, Blue Bloods, NCIS, Elementary and Law & Order SVU.  The Grammy winner is also  fierce advocate for the  LGBTQ+ community, as well as for diversity and inclusion in the arts. “Protect The Dolls.”

Favorably Disposed: Benjamin by New Manhattan Studios

'I am favorably disposed to working with you but I would want to check with the model first. While I own the rights to the photographs I have promised this particular model a say on how and where his images are used.'

This post, featuring images of Benjamin from New Manhattan Studios began as a celebration of PRIDE .  If you scroll down, you'll see visuals of Benjmain with a rainbow scarf.  As I was putting the piece together however, I also wanted to make  it a celebration of NMS, and it's owner and lead photographer Wes Triplett.   The quote upon, with Wes replying he was favorably disposed to working with me on a post, was the photographer's first reply to my request to feature his work.

That first request to feature Wes' work was over 14 years ago in 2012.  I was inspired after seeing his stunning shots of the muscular Drew. (HERE:)  I was struck by two things starting with Wes open to working with me.  My favorite artists and models to feature don't just send me visuals, but work with me to create the story.  Each time I featured the work of NMS, Wes provides plenty of story, most of it,  I'm able to share with FH readers.

Occasionally, there's a tidbit or two I'm asked to keep to myself.  This is is common with most of the artists and models that I feature.   Many share certain aspects of their work which helps give contest to the visuals, but not all of it needs to be shared.  I also loved that Wes wanted to check with Drew before going forward.  I know this may seem a small thing, but it's something I always encourage.

This past weekend Wes celebrated his birthday.  Wes didn't however, just have a couple of friends over for coffee and cake.  Wes had a birthday weekend extravaganza, with activities all themed to the male form.  I wish I could have convinced Wes to take his camera along, as his Birthday celebrations began Friday night with a Burlesque show, and climaxed at midnight on Sunday by attending Broadway Bares where Wes got to enjoy Sydney James Harcourt in the fliesh. I usually stick with having coffee, (well wine) and cake with friends, but that's a birthday weekend, I could get behind!

In between his male form focused festivities, including seeing a few models he worked with on stage, Wes grabbed a few minutes to pull together his work with Benjamin.  As June is winding down, Wes knew that I hoped to share the PRIDE themed shots before the end of the month.  No matter how busy Wes gets, he always finds time to send me on work, including many holiday themed hotties.

This shoot with Ben was a few years ago and the 22 year old model was a recent college graduate when they first worked together.  Wes remembers that Benjamin was one of the first models to list 'influencer' as his day job.  As we know, not everyone can make money as an influencer, and although he had a large social media following, Ben eventually returned to school to to get his graduate degree. Wes shares they worked both in the studio and along Manhattan's East River waterfront. They actually wound up shooting in front of a building that Ben had lived in during his years in school.

Although Wes shares they got some good shots during that first shoot, Wes felt there was something missing, and felt they could even do better with a second shoot.  About three weeks later, Ben returned to the studio, and most of these shots were from that second shoot.  Wes compiled his favorite shots of Ben, featuring images from their location work, and studio shots featuring full frontal and erecton shots into an almost 50 page photo essay.  If you want to see more of Ben, including Ben's beautiful boner, download the Essay on NMS HERE:

Pelé: The King

'I was born for soccer, just as Beethoven was born for music.'
Pelé

Pelé & Franz Beckenbauer

Last week, when I featured soccer stud, and Playgirl model Allan Rizzo, (HERE:) I mentioned I was inspired to post about soccer memories given the World Cup is currently on in Canada, the US and Mexico.  You can't really discuss soccer history without mentioning Pelé.

Pelé: (Edson Arantes do Nascimento) was a Brazilian professional footballer who played as a forward. Widely regarded as one of the greatest players in history, he was among the most successful and popular sports figures of the 20th century.

Pelé was given the nickname O Rei (Portuguese for The King)  by the French magazine Paris Match following his breakout performance at the 1958 World Cup.  As you can see from the shots below, we saw a lot of Pelé, nude, and with other nude players over the course of the career.  One of the most famous nude of Pelé was a 1977 locker room shot along with fellow player and friend Franz Beckenbauer. A Hesitant Hop...

I enjoy reality TV as much as the next guy.  I watch Survivor and Below Deck, and used to really get into Big Brother, American Idol and The Voice in their first few seasons.  I don't however, like reality shows based in love and romance.  Although I'll dip into almost any show for an episode or two if there's a hot guy, or nude model being painted, but romance and reality just don't go together for me,

Like so many of you however, I have noticed all the social media posts about the guys on season eight of Love Island.  I've watched a few episodes of Love Island before, but this 5 or 6 episodes a week stuff is just too much for me.  Who can commit to so many episodes, especially with so much of it just flashback and filler.  Still, although I'm not jumping on the bandwagon, I did have to take a 'hesitant hop' and checked out the first episode last night.

All the guys on the first episode were hot, with Sean being my initial favorite.  Most of the fuss is about Zach and Bryce, and if either or both are gay.  I didn't really see any signs last night, although most guys on reality ping my gaydar at one point or another.  It was only the first episode however, so I know most of what  people are seeing occurred in subsequent shows.

I did recognize Bryce however, from some images I had saved previously.  I've been following his modeling career for awhile and had been planning a post prior to this season's Love Island beginning.  From the little I saw, his comfort around other men, both gay and straight, may in part stem from his modeling career.

Men in the modeling industry can't be shy, around either women or other men.  There's little time for shyness when a quick change is required and Bryce has also worked with Calvin Klein, and been a part of underwear campaigns.  When modeling underwear, your junk is in focus and is heavily securitized by many sets of eyes before an image is approved for release.

As far as Zach goes, who knows, given he loves comics, and works in the health  care profession, he could be gay, but the bromance might just be for the cameras, with the audience being punked.  Time will tell, I may try another episode on the weekend, but until we have some confirmation, I saw the producers are doing a great job of selling a story for ratings.  Certainly led me to check it out.
