Happy CANADA DAY!

Wishing all of those celebrating the anniversary of Canadian Confederation a wonderful July 1st.  Also a special thanks to all the Canadian artists and models who support the site.  I know FH has many the Canadian viewers as well as the many readers outside of Canada who love both the country, and hot Canadian men.

J. Kosmic: Captain Canada 🍁

Leading up to CANADA Day last year, as one usually does, I went on the hunt for captivating Canadians wearing skimpy maple leaf speedos.  I hit the jackpot while searching Instagram when I found these hot shots (HERE:)  of model, cosplay and content creator J. Kosmic.  I loved the fun, the sense of play and erotic elements in J's work and reached out about featuring the shots on the site.

J not only supported my featuring his work, but generously went on to create visuals for other holiday themed posts on the site last year.  For this years July 1st celebration, J created a new set of Canadiana themed visuals to help celebrate his country, and some of it's most famous symbols.  Give his love of cosplay, and how hot he looks sporting the flag, I think J is the site's  Captain Canada!

As all superheroes know however, with power comes great responsibility.  With that in mind, before I can officially bestow J the crown, and the cape, I needed him to take the FH Canadian quiz to ensure he's ready both up for the job, and ready to take on the formal duties that come with the role. Check out J's answers below.

Who is your favorite singer/band from Canada?
Metric or Nelly Furtado. I do enjoy Alanis Morissette and Peaches too.

Favorite Canadian TV show?
Currently, Canada's Drag Race. Growing up, Much Music, which was Canada's version of MTV.

Favorite Canadian made movie?
Does Scott Pilgrim vs the World count? It was made in Canada.

Favorite Canadian Actor / Actress?
First one that came to mind is Simu Liu, or Michael Cera.

Trapped in an elevator, who are you with, Ryan Reynolds or Gosling?
Gosling, he has more range. Seems more charming.

Trapped on a deserted island with who? Bieber or Mendes?
Don't really like either but if I had to pick, Mendes for sure.

Your usual Tim Hortons order?
Green tea black and a donut - vanilla or chocolate dip depending on the sprinkles.

Two choices for dinner, are you having Poutine or a donair?
I always love a good donair.

Ketchup chips, yea or nay?
Hell yeah.

Scale between 1-10, how much of a hockey fan are you?
2. Any time I've gone to a game in person, I've felt very out of place. I think feats of strength are more impressive, I.e. gymnastics, weightlifting, etc.

How many provinces have you visited?
5; British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario. I have so much more to see.

Have you ever had a run in with a beaver or a moose?
Yes, I saw a beaver at the park last year and pretty close up. I'd rather not have a run in with a Moose, they're surprisingly dangerous.

Most Canadian word or phrase you use regularly?
Washroom or Parkade.

How do you celebrate Canada Day?
Attended a barbecue the last few years, otherwise it's checking out local events.

Favorite thing about being a Canadian?
Universal Health Care, and you don't appreciate living 45 minutes away from the Rocky Mountains until you're there.

Pork Loins

I've got you NOW, TOMMY TURNER! ... You disgusting, little, filthy, pervert!
Ballbricker

Every CANADA  Day I look to feature a Canadian made film and this year, I went back to a film franchise I've featured several times over the years.  When I was searching for the most successful Canadian made films, I was a bit surprised to learn that 45 years after it's initial release, Porky's remains the highest-grossing Canadian film of all time worldwide.  Canadian you say, well... sort of.

Although Porky's was written and directed by American filmmaker Bob Clark, Clark was unable to get financing for the film in the US. Clark then went north of the border and in the end, Porky's was financed and produced by the Canadian production company Astral Media (formerly Astral Bellevue Pathé).Because of this Canadian funding, the raunchy comedy qualifies as a Canadian production.  In addition to being the highest grossing Canadian film of all time, it also received the Golden Reel Genie Award at the Canadian box office.

Porky's was initially released in November 1981 in a few select Provinces and States.  It was then followed by a wide release across both Canada and the U.S. on March 19, 1982.  Although Canadian made, the film was based on Clark's time growing up in Florida in the 1950's.  Although often called a 'sex comedy', there wasn't actually a lot of sex, not that the characters, (Pee Wee) didn't try.  There was however, a lot of nudity, surprisingly more male than female.  Most of the nude scenes were embarrassment scenes, many were also CMNM/CFNM themed.  Check out one of my favorites from the series on the NEXT PAGE HERE:

Silver Linings: Alex Gonzalez by Chris Teel

Beneath this snowy mantle cold and clean
The unborn grass lies waiting for its coat to turn to green

When it comes to Canada, the term snowbird means more than just the title of a classic Anne Murray song. Prior to Orange Idiot's presidency, and his ridiculous and  retaliative tariffs, an estimated 1 million or more Canadians headed south every winter.  These snowbirds mostly traveled to the U.S, flocking to warm-weather destinations like Florida, Arizona, and California to avoid the freezing winter conditions at home.

It's estimated that number has declined as much as much as 25% since the buffoon's inauguration in 2025.  In addition to being sun seekers, Canadians are resourceful, so although many are staying home, many are flying over the U.S on their way to Mexico, the Bahamas or other beach destinations below America's southern border.

Every CANADA Day I strive to feature Canadian talent, and photographer and long time FH contributor Chris Teel has helped celebrate CANADDay many times on the site.  This July 1st however, I'm not featuring one of Chris' shoots in Toronto or Montreal, or even one of his shoots in New York.  Today, we head down to Mexico where Chris shot model and adult film star Alex Gonzalez.

Toddler temper tantrums and tariffs weren't the only reason Chris headed to Puerto Vallarta, he was there to shoot content creators gathering for a JustForFans event.   Chris had actually planned on traveling to Palm Spring for a JFF the year before, but after the election, and the winner's attack's on Canada, Chris ended up cancelling due to the toxic political cimate.

'I wanted to focus on shooting international models, guys I wouldn't normally have access to here in Toronto and I ended up shooting a total of 24 models during the trip (including some Toronto guys who travelled there as well, lol).'

When I asked Chris about featuring a model from his shooting splurge, he quickly responded with Alex Gonzalez. Over the last few years, Chris has enjoyed shooting more mature models, bear and daddy types who fans of his work really respond to and enjoy. This trip gave Chris the opportunity to shoot a few younger studs, and models and performers he wouldn't get the opportunity to work with in Canada.

I love the contrast of models with a sweet, innocent face with a body ready for action.  If you've seen any of Alex's films, you know he uses those distinctly different qualities to their carnal capacity.  Chris noticed this as well, and shared with Alex that he gave off a sexy superhero, almost Clark Kent/Harry Potter sort of vibe.  If you check out Alex's Twitter, (HERE:)  you'll see that he's well aware of the connection.

When Chris sent on the results of his shoot with Alex, some of my favorite shots were of Alex by the window.  Beyond just the natural light, FH viewers know I love window shots for both their symbolism and mystery.  I also wonder what the model is looking at on the other side of the glass, and if there's anyone outside, who is able to see in...  In this case, it's sadly unlikely anyone was out there enjoying the shoot from the other side of the window.  What Alex was looking at, was a small interior private courtyard with gardens and a seating area.  Although I didn't include any, the courtyard also served as a secondary shoot location.

Answers from Alex:

What or who first brought you to modeling and adult film work?
It was a bet with my best friend, we’re playing smash bros I think and he beat me and he told me to apply in a studio sites

Had you always had an exhibitionist side?
I think I always had at some point but with exercise and preparation got me the extra confidence to be more exhibitionist.

How nervous were you before your first time modeling fully nude?
A friend saw my shoot actually  and told me that he saw me with more confidence posing nude, than in previous shoots where I wearing clothes hehe 🤭

Had you seen Chris' work before you shot, and if so, what first struck you about his visuals?
Of course I have, I like the natural and spontaneous style

What was your favorite part about working with Chris?
It was so much fun!  We were telling jokes and talking about his experiences in Mexico

What motivated you to give adult films a try?
To be honest because we only live once and I love to explore and try interesting things, also I always wanted to do something at cinema (model, actor or production)

Were you a fan before, any favorites you enjoyed watching?
Brent Corrigan, Kane Fox, Blake Mitchell, Danny Montero, Joey Mills and Alex Riley. I think they were my favorites or most viewed actors

Was there anyone, (family, friends, work) you felt you had to talk to before you started?
My dad, he’s my best friend and the best human being ever

What most surprised you about working in the industry you didn't expect?
That people can be more trustworthy than other people, there’s always something new to explore and learn

Do you have a favorite scene that you have shot?
I mean I’ve enjoyed fully most of them, but I think my shoot with Kane fox was my favorite 🤭

Have you lost your composure or started laughing during a scene?
I have haha 😂 a lot of times actually but for me, it makes it special

They say with every storm there's a rainbow, and if you watch the news, you know Canadians found the colorful bright spots in the attacks their country.  Not only did national pride go through the roof, Canadians put their focus on spending their hard earned cash within their borders, supporting fellow Canadians through buying and traveling Canadian.  For Chris, the bright side was his trip to Mexico, working with Alex, and more international travel plans in the future.

'The silver lining with all the political chaos was that it forced me to look at other options.  I ended up going to Puerto Vallarta for the first time last December and I LOVED it. I'm already booked to go back again this December. Longer term I'm looking at European destinations, I haven't really explored specific options yet but will look at something for 2027 - I need to go wherever the models are :)'
