Recently, I was thinking about all the sites and blogs devoted to the male form that have closed. Some ended by choice, others were abruptly closed by censorship or sites and domains shutting down or changing focus. I remember awhile ago, Google decided to shut down all 'mature blog' and I thought FH was soon to join the list of closed sites. Thankfully, a huge response from users had them decide to keep Blogger going.
One of my favorite sites used to be BARIHUNKS. The blog had a very specific focus, the sexiest baritone hunks from Opera. Although the site closed in 2020, it is still up and archives remain. I remember discovering the site back in 2012. I think it was after seeing shots of opera baritone Gabriel Bermudez naked in the shower n the opera Les mamelles de Tirésias. I did a post on it back in 2012 that you find HERE:
One of the reasons I loved BARIHUNKS so much was because of how it altered my perception. Although I've seen, and been involved in a lot of Theatre, I was never really that knowledgeable about Opera. I'd seen a few Gilbert and Sullivan operettas growing up, but never really a classical opera. Growing up, like so many, when I thought of opera singers, I thought of a rather large woman or man, belting out a song with horns on their head.
Obviously this visual with Viking helmet is a stereotype, but years of seeing it in Saturday morning cartoons made it stick. When I was thinking of the old BARIHUNKS site, I decided it was time to find, not a hot baritone, but a hot tenor to feature on the site. The research didn't take long, as within just a few minutes I came images of the stunning Czech Artist and tenor Petr Nekoranec.
The 34 year old tenor is known as one of the most outstanding talents of the young Czech singing generation. Nekoranec was a soloist of the Stuttgart State Opera, where he assumed various roles in operas including; Il barbiere di Siviglia, La cenerentola and Don Pasquale. Nekoranec continues to perform in operas all around the glove As you can see from the images below, the toned tenor is not shy about showing off his voice, nor his beauty and body when performing on stage.
Iphigénie en Tauride
