'Callie, an aspiring chef, with her childhood friend David, enters Callie into a club's annual Christmas ice sculpting competition against her boss. Callie's passions for cooking and ice sculpting are met with romance and Christmas spirit.'
The channel I watch Hallmark movies on replays movies from previous years 24/7 in November and December. Recently I flipped on to see 2015's Ice Sculpture Christmas. I'd seen the movie when it originally aired, but didn't remember I'd seen it until about a half-hour in. I remembered as I recognized actor David Alpay, the male romantic lead in the film.
I can't believe I haven't featured David before on the site, I've enjoyed him in a number of roles. The Toronto born actor got his start playing the lead in the 2003 war drama Ararat. Alpay quickly began getting guest roles, mostly on Canadian made shows including Wild Card and Slings and Arrows.
Ararat (2002)Alpay continued to work consistently, obtaining roles on shows including; The Tudors, The Borgias, Rizzoli and Isles, Drop Dead Diva, Quantico and The Vampire Diaries. In addition to appearing in several Hallmark films, Alpay's most recent roles include appearances on; Red Rooms, Nancy Drew, Castle Rock and Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies.
