Exploring within, and going beyond the confines and boundaries is at the core of Fotorebelxt Photography's work. I often shoot Alwin the names of models or images within portfolio that I'd love to feature. Alwin never volley's back with what I expect, instead he responds with a spike, something beyond what I what I was expecting. Given photography is a hobby and passion for Alwin, when spending what free time he has on a concept, he wants to ensure it's something special.

Whether it be shooting Patrick with a wooden latter (Snakes & Ladders) or John wearing masks and body paint, (Life By Design) Alvin clearly strives to shoot something not only creatively unique, but artistically memorable. Finding new and unique concepts can be challenging enough, but with so many artists and images on-line, and our ever dwindling attention spans, memorable is almost impossible.

Some of my favorite images from Alwin include shoots with two or more models, and with this latest shoot, boundaries were not only pushed, but washed away. I was struck by the different themes visually competing and woven into the same shoot. In some shots, there's a light and fun, almost 'Singin' in the Rain' vibe. In other shots, especially Alwin's images of two models in physical combat, there is darker, more consequential life and death feel, like a Gladiator dual, with only one winner...

The last image I posted was my favorite and reminded me of the cleansing power, both physical and emotional, of water and rain. I was reminded of Let It Rain, one of my favorite songs from Amanda Marshall. (HERE:) Achieving that cleansing rain, wasn't an easy task. The shots were taken in studio by drilling holes into pvc pipes and then connecting them to a warm water hose. The addition of the water, especially the drops, frozen in mid air, add a layer of drama and erotic urgency to Alwin's images. This, combined with three strong models who high emotion through their great lines, poses and interactions with one another.

Earlier this year, I stumbled upon an episode of Below Deck Mediterranean. I was instantly hooked. Starting with season 5, I made my way backwards, binging the the series over the last several months. There were many things I loved about the show, including the many hotties who scrubbed down the deck and have enjoyed featuring some of my favorites on the site. (HERE:)

After cruising around the Mediterranean, I thought I'd give the Caribbean a go, and take a look the original Below Deck series which began the now popular franchise.  I recently finished the show's first season which originally aired on Bravo back in 2013. You can feel the show is just starting to find it's footing, but most of the elements of the show that I liked are in place, including swoon worthy deck hands.

In Below Deck's first season, one of the hottest, and most interesting deck hands aboard The Honor was David Bradberry.  Given how few gay yachties the show has featured, it was nice to see David featured so proximately in the shows first season.  Not only is David incredibly beautiful, he had a fascinating back story.  It's not often you find someone on a reality show with past careers ranging from being a marine, an actor, and model.  David was also one of the only members of the crew involved in a serious relationship off the boat, something the show explored in one of the episodes late in the season.

Like many others, I really enjoyed getting to see the friendships that developed between David and the crew, especially his roommate, the adorable and hilarious Eddie Lucas. Eddie didn't seem to mind his gay roommate flirting with him, and joked with both David and the crew about how when David got dressed each morning, Eddie couldn't help but notice how hung, (like a horse) his roomie was. 

In addition to his stint in season 1, David also returns in the shows third season for a few episodes after one of the crews deckhands is fired.  I'm guessing David may have appeared in more seasons except that he was generally so well liked, he avoided most of the drama the producers liked to spotlight.  Despite his varied careers and past, David was a nice guy, and not really that comfortable when things got ugly and mean between those he worked with.  Although they occasionally offered support and acted as peace makers, David and Eddie usually kept their heads down, and just kept mopping those decks while drama swirled around them.

I was actually introduced to David Alanson long before meeting David Bradberry on Below Deck.  Alanson was last name David used for his work as an actor.  Some of you might remember David briefly appeared on FH back in 2016 when I spotlighted the films produced and created by Lime Street Entertainment. (HERE:)  Previous that, I'd seen David's work as a model with one of my favorite photographers to feature, Alwin from Fotorebelxt Photography.

I first featured Alwin's work back in 2012, and have been lucky to have featured his imagery several times on the site since. (HERE:)  I really admire the way Alvin contracts his images, especially his use of light and color. I also love how Alwin seems to so beautiful be able to capture a visual intensity within in his images with a heightened sense of drama and erotic urgency.

At one point, however, everything seems to come together, and the strength of their body of work becomes evident. I consider every shot as an opportunity to experiment and push beyond my limits using various lighting techniques and lenses. '

When I decided to feature David, I got in touch with Alwin about featuring their work together.  Alwin checked back into his archives and found the raw files from his shoot with David.  They connected at a Palm Springs Photo Festival that both attended, two years before David went Below Deck.  The master photographer for the event was Greg Gorman who had assembled about a dozen photographers for an artistic nude workshop.  There were 3 female and 2 mal models that posed over the the three day event

'The shoots were done in the studio, Joshua Tree National Park and at a Gorman's private home. All photographers were able to use their images from the workshop for their personal portfolio. David was a professional and easy-going model.  He helped each photographer with their concepts and was a natural in striking the best pose.'

Hard At Work: Sawyer D by Fotorebelxt Photography

The first image of Sawyer that I saw was of his popular penis, framed only by a few straps, a clamp or two and a hard hat.  His construction worker themed image seem a perfect Labor Day themed shot. I didn't know it at first, but the image ended up being from one of my favorite photographers, Alwin from Fotorebelxt Photography.

Alwin and Sawyer have collaborated many times over the years, resulting in a great variety of images to choose from.   Although there were tons of images, choosing was a challenge as Sawyer's hat wasn't the only thing hard in many of the images...  Alwin says Sawyer loves performing for his fans and exudes a super sexy confidence in front of the camera.

'FotoRebelXT was the first photographer with whom I had multiple, recurring shoots. He's creative, knows how to frame a good shot, and does a great job with explicit poses. I always look forward to shooting with him.'

Sawyer is the second person recently who shared the story of shooting nude for the first time while traveling.   Sawyer saw an ad for a nude model and although he'd never modeled at all, baring it all for the camera was something he'd always dared himself to do.  It while traveling, he finally worked up the courage to go through with it. That first shoot took place in closed store front and Sawyer shares that he was immediately seduced by the lights the camera.  'I was hooked.'

'I like to bring honest and genuine eroticism to modeling, making it very natural, desirable, and satisfying to me to be depicted erect. It's difficult to describe the thrilling inner conflict of being forever captured in such a vulnerable, compromised, and honest state, knowing all the while how meaningful it is for the viewers to see me posed this way.'

'Suffice it to say that there's an all-consuming moment of reckoning that takes place every time I commit to a nude shoot, which produces an intense mix of emotional and physical reactions further fueling my sense of exhibitionism. This is why I like to model. While there's admittedly a lot of narcissism at play, there is also a great sense of reward that comes with having shared myself so generously with others. This makes me want to do everything I can to proudly put my erection on display and I've been doing that since my first nude shoot.'

Sawyer's sense of exhibitionism has also led him to film, performing in a couple of solo-erotic films for small production companies.  While Sawyer enjoying doing the film projects and hopes to do more, he actually prefers modeling and the dynamic of a still photo shoot.

Sawyer's quote above about liking his penis, a lot, was actually his answer to my question about what his favorite part was, and what part of his body gets the most attention from others.  Sort of surprisingly, I  think Sawyer is the first model who responded with their penis,  Sawyer says that the comments he gets most from others are usually about his eyes, his smile and his backside.

I love the variety of themes Alwin and Sawyer have explored, and the many emotions and moods captured.  Relaxing at home for a relaxing cup of coffee, then heading off to work at construction site,. Sawyer exudes a masculine, incredibly sexual energy in all of the locations and themes he and Alwin shot.

Fotorebelxt Photography: Heart Stricken

Valentines is such an odd little holiday. In general, holidays seem at their core, a way to bring people together.  For many however, they end up doing the opposite.  'Together' days are always difficult on the single, the ill and the lonely. Valentine's Day can be fun and romantic, or like salt, on a festering wound. 

When you're a kid, eating chocolate and giving cards to your homeroom class seems pretty harmless, but as you get older, Valentines can take on a nasty edge. I remember some incredible February 14th's when I was in my late teens and through my 20's. Romantic dinners, wine, flowers and chocolate, love, sex, the whole nine yards. 

I also remember a few that had me wanting to jump off a cliff. Painful Break-ups, relationships ending. Unrequited love, especially when you're young, can make February 14th a painful pit of sorrow Getting older doesn't mean the pain of a break-up is any easier, but most of us have toughened up a bit. Regardless of what you may be going through,  this year, try just enjoy the food, eat the candy, and of course, enjoy the wine. Happy Valentines to All!

When I was looking for images for this year's Valentine's posts, I headed to straight to Fotorebelxt Photography and photographer Alwin's Flickr page.  I've been featuring Alwin's work for over 10 years now, and whenever I return to his extensive portfolio, there's always new images that I discover and love, and of course, want to share on FH.

When I featured Alwin's work with model, and Below Deck's David Bradberry back in 2021, (HERE:) I noticed that Alwin had a great selection of Valentine themed imagery, some, with models I've had the pleasure of featuring before.  These are some of my favorites.  Check out my previous pieces featuring Alwin's work on FH HERE:

Random Exposures: Seas The Day! 🐬

So, I put my hands up

When I first began going through this series of images, I couldn't help but think of the fan video that David Fudge made for the song Party in the U.S.A.  If you haven't seen his take on the Miley Cyrus hit, you can check it out on YouTube HERE:  In the video, a group of hot friends dance and play in the Ocean, harking back to those care free beach days so many of us remember when we were younger.

Carefree beach days don't belong just to kids, but once you've started your twenties, and are out of school, summers definitely change.  Once you have a job, you don't really have those longer, two month summer vacations.  When I was kid, they seemed to go on forever with countless days at the beach.   Still, if you're lucky, you can still grab a week or two, or even just a day or two, of carefree summer beach fun.

It was that carefree fun element that drew me to his series.  The shots were saved and shared by George from Random Exposures.  I've featured George's work both behind, and in front of the camera many times on FH, and for this shoot, he's once again pulling double duty.  If you don't immedeately recognize George, he's the only naked hottie wearing anything, and in this case, it's only a pair of eyeglasses. 

Unlike the guys in the Party in the U.S.A video, this group of men were not really all friends.  Some were random strangers who came together for a day of artistic and naked fun.  George remember finding out about the shoot from photographer Charlie Archer.   Long time readers of the site might remember my previous posts featuring Archer's work. (HERE:)  The shoot however, was actually organized by fotorebelxt , another favorite, and long time collaborator to the site. You can check more work by fotorebelxt on FH HERE:

Some of you I'm sure might recognize the location, and the bridge in the background.  Marshall's Beach in San Francisco is a clothing-optional beach. It's known for it's secluded spots, and its views of the Golden Gate Bridge and is a perfect spot for nude sunbathing, no to mention the odd nude photoshoot. The beach is accessible via a hiking trail from Baker Beach and is known for its rugged beauty and natural features.

Both George and Charles were going to be in town for Folsom weekend. The went to the shoot along with another photographer friend of George's. Bruce Alexander. Also along for the fun were three guys visiting from the Netherlands and a couple of local guys, all two had arrived for Folsom.  Some of these images were shot by George himself, but most of those with him in them, were captured by fotorebelxt.

George remembers that a creative creative connection formed between the group as soon as the shoot began.  Some of the men were gay, some were bi and some were straight, but none of that mattered in the least.  What they all had in common was a love of being naked and the desire to celebrate community.  These themes, along with their mutual love of the expression of sexual liberation, were not only themes of the day, but the festival they were all there to attend.

Although George had plenty of experience shooting nude, this was his first time shooting with a group of other nude men.   George certainly had posed for groups before, usually rooms filled with clothed art students, but this was the first time stripping down as part of a group.  Like so many others, one of the initial and instinctual feelings George had, was sizing himself up compared to the other men he was posing with.

The Dutch Duo

'I do remember feeling kind of average compared to those Dutch guys who were definitely hung. Bruce and Charlie were also in the average category with me. It ended up being sort of funny, that it was us with average junk, who were doing most of the shooting with the well endowed ones' 😊
