If you grew up in the 1980's, or even the 1990's, you most likely watched, or least heard of the Landers Sisters. Judy Landers was regular guest star on many shows, and had short stints on Vegas and BJ and the Bear. Audrey, maybe more well known, was a regular on Dallas. Audrey also played Val, singing Dance: Ten, Looks: Three in the 1985 film version of A Chorus Line.
I watched Audrey on Dallas when it aired in the 1990's on TNN, but I was a little young to watch much of either sister in the 80's. What I do remember is seeing images of the sisters in magazines. As a closeted gay kid, I loved seeing, and collecting glamour shots of female celebrities from magazines. I especially loved women with long flowing blonde hair. I often saw the sisters in glamour shots and sexy poses in old magazines from the 80's.
VegasLast year, I discovered the Instagram page of Audrey's son Daniel Landers. Daniel is a singer, writer and producer who also models and creates. Daniel is openly gay and engaged to a hot British surgeon, currently practicing in New York City. In addition to the flashes of skin Daniel sometimes shares, I especially love the videos he and his mom create for Instagram and TikTok.
Daniel loves drag and often dresses up, looking very much like his blonde bombshell mother. They create videos promoting their activism, their politics, (Kamala) and of course, just for fun. You know a good mother when she not only supports and accepts everything her child is and does from the sidelines, but jumps in and joins them. Audrey Landers is certainly a joiner mom.
