Ontarí'io: The Lake is Beautiful, the Lake is Big
I try to limit my political rants on the site. I truly want FH to be an escape, an erotic visual vacation from the stresses and pressures of everyday life. I began the site as a way to de-stress from my intense, and often demanding day job. I do however, like to keep up on the news, and many of the 'story' of the pieces on the site come from news and current events that've read about, or seen on-line.
As most of you know, the bigoted idiot in The White House had a temper tantrum when Canada refused to be bullied and bend the knee. Thus far, the orange oaf has tragically got very little push back, from other countries, institutions, and especially, members of congress. It was nice to watch Canada say no. Not that Canadian politicians had much of a choice. It's estimated that as high as 82% of Canadians, disapprove, and despise the current US President.
Political leaders of each of the major Canadian parties would be committing political self-destruction if they didn't stand up to the authoritarian bully. Canadians have come together to fight back on the tariffs, the attacks and the threats. Canada and the US have always had almost a familial relationship, and I think even most Republicans saw his meltdown for what it was. It was still difficult seeing so many members of the cult begin to hate on Canada over an issue that any leader with brain cell or two could have easily avoided.
As a result, the world watched Cheeto-in-chief throw a public temper tantrum, tantamount to throwing a pre-school hissy fit over not getting his way. Not only did he pick up his tinker toys and stomp out, he also decided to rename one of the Great Lakes as retribution for not getting his way. As silly and immature as trying to rename Lake Ontario was, Canadians didn't really seem to bothered.

Like many Americans, Canadians have watched his idiocy for years, and basically rolled their eyes and moved on. Canadians are far more aware of American culture and politics than many Americans are of Canadian politics and life. There are several reasons for this, starting with America being their closest neighbour, and so closely tied to much of the Canadian economy. Given the US is also a world superpower, Canadian students have American geography and history incorporated into their educational curriculum. Most Canadian teens can list off the 50 US states as well as their own 10 provinces and territories.
The name change really has little impact on most Canadians. The lake remains Lake Ontario in Canada, and in most of the rest of world. It's really only impacts those in the US, and especially they're tax dollars. Estimates start at around $10,000 to make the changes signs, maps and text books. This is top of course the millions already being lost on the tariffs and tourist dollars. Watching the news, the assholes anger only intensified most Canadians resolve to boycott not only visiting, but buying anything from their Southern neighbours.

What's even more ironic, yet lost on the moron's mania, is that Lake Ontario was not named after the Province of Ontario, it was the other way around in fact. Ontarí'io is an Indigenous Iroquoian term that predates European contact and the creation of Canada or the United States by over 400 years. It basically translates to 'sparkling water', or 'the lake is big and beautiful. All that money US taxpayers are paying to change the name will ultimately be wasted, when a future President, my guess is regardless of party, eventually changes it back.
As I often do, when I notice a person or issue in the news I check to see if there's a connection to visuals of the male form. In the case of Lake Ontario, I didn't have to look far. After a quick search, I realized that the parks and beaches along the Scarborough Bluffs sit right on the shoreline of Lake Ontario. If you stand on the shore and look up, your view is the massive face of the scenic bluffs
Now, if your a regular reader of the site, those Scarborough Bluffs might be ringing a bell. The reason, it's a favorite shooting location for Toronto based photographer
Briancan Photography. So many of my favorite outdoors shots that Brian has taken were locations in the woods, and along the shores of the lake and the Bluffs. Back in 2023, I did a piece focused on the location and the many models that Brian has worked with there. (

When I realized I had already featured so many beautiful bodies, on the shore of the lake, I asked Brian if I could bring back the post. He generously agreed, and also sent along some new, and not previously featured images, of models along the shore of the Bluffs and Lake Ontario. As Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney reaffirmed in a statement after the idiot's outburst, the Lake's historical name will endure,' Then, now and always.'
