'I live in a lovely little village in the heart of the Cheshire country side England.'
If you looked closely above at the list of posts featuring bengie's (Male Beauty by bengie) imagery, you may have noticed a pattern. In addition to the many model focused stories, there were also many pieces featuring aspects, rooms and areas around bengie's Cheshire home. In addition to the incredibly hot men that bengie captures , I've always been equally drawn to the location, and the captivating visuals surrounding the many men in focus.
My favorite shooting location in bengie's house has to be the shower. So many men wet men, and so many incredible shots. The location is perfect for shooting nudes, with a large window providing glorious natural light to cascade over wet, naked skin. Although the shower has produced hundreds of great shots, I've also focused on images on begnie's patio, and the patio's French doors. The barn, the woodpile, the gardens and fields. I even did a piece featuring the wallpaper border in one of the rooms in the house.
Since I have to travel to the UK, the home has fascinated me as much as the many men that bengie's shot there. I dream of spending time in the English countryside, and bengie's Cheshire home is exactly what I'd envision a English country home to look like. For this piece, featuring bengie's work with Jeze, I thought it a great time to find out a little bit more about bengie, and that home that's been so key in so many of his shoots.
The house isn't just the place where bengie currently lives, it was actually the family home and the house that he was born in. It's the house that he grew up in, with his two brothers and one sister, and the house he celebrated every holiday and life milestone in. There are wonderful memories, and painful ones as well.
Just before he was born, bengie's father was killed in a road accident, so he and his siblings were raised in the house by their mother. Growing up, the house was the setting for many crucial milestones, both positive and painful. One of the those difficult moments occurred on bengie's fifth birthday. It was on that day bengie learned he had contacted polio, and it was in the house where he struggled with the virus and learned to deal with the long term effects.
It was also the house where bengie mourned the loss of several family members. In addition to his father, bengie also lost his mother, as well as his sister and one of his brothers over his time in the house. Because of the history, and because of those memories, bengie decided to keep the house, and continue to live in his home after his mother had passed on.
Although both the house and the property are visually inspiring, it was after bengie had left school, that his passion for photography was firmly established. During his three years attending art college, bengie was immersed in many aspects of the visual arts including photography. It was during this time, specifically while attending some life life drawing classes, that fell in love with the nude male form as his focus.
'When I 22 years ago a friend asked me to do some photos for him. It was after that, when showed them around, that other guys also asked if I would do photos for them. The more I did, the more guys asked, and I have been photographing the naked male ever since. '
As I stated in the post above, I was initially drawn to bengie's work due to his beautifully direct stye of capturing the male form, strong, erotic and incredibly sexy. I was also drawn to the choice of models that bengie captures and works with. While the beauty of the male form remains at the core of his work, three is also a focus on diversity, strength, and masculinity.
In addition to their physical beauty, bengie also captures magnificent moments when their personalities shine through. In order to do so, bengie works hard to ensure the models he works with are feeling comfortable and relaxed, In addition to capturing great visuals, bengie also hopes the model will enjoy the shooting process as much as he does.
From his ear to ear grin, Jeze certainly looked as if he was enjoying himself in front of bengie's lens. It was after seeing Jeze on a modeling site, that bengie got in contact and a shoot was arranged. Jeze lives about an hour and half away from bengie's home and studio, but was up for driving south for the shoot.
When I recently saw the shots of Jeze in bengie's portfolio, I knew I wanted to share their work together on the site. In addition to his great face and body, it was his smile, and those beautiful blue eyes that drew me to bengie's images. I really loved the sense of play and fun that Jeze brought to so many his poses, especially some of shots in the shower.

Thighway to Heaven: Zak by Male Beauty by bengie
'I liked his look straight away.'
Me too bengie, I loved his look straight away as well! When I first saw bengie's (Male Beauty by bengie) shots of Zak, I was initially first drawn to his great face. Zak has beautiful eyes, and a great set of lips, all framed by a great head of hair. As I continued to visually take him in, bengie's image forcefully lured lower, to Zak's incredible lower extremities, especially his incredible legs and thighs.
For health reasons, many of us have learned to choose breasts and wings, but deep down, we all know the juiciest and tastiest meat, is on the legs and thighs. It's clear the Milton Keynes based model never skips leg day at the gym. Taking in his incredible body from head to day, I don't think Zak misses any days working out to bulk up and maintain his impressive physique.
When I last featured the work of Chester, England based model bengie, the focus was on the man behind the camera. (Homebodies) Today, the focus is on the man in front. bengie first spotted Zak on a model/photographer website and loved his look straight away. Originally from Switzerland, Zak now lives about 50 miles north-west of England in the city of Milton Keynes.
Although he'd seen his images on-line and they'd chatted several times, bengie first met Zak when he picked him up at the Chester train studio. After a long train ride alone, Zak enjoyed chatting with bengie on the way to his home studio and the drive provided them a great opportunity to chat and get to know each other prior to the shoot. Zak shared a little about his previous modeling experience including his time modeling in Germany.
'Our drive from train station to my home, not only gave us time to get to know one another, I think that helped to put him at ease, and as you can see, he looks Fantastic! I hope to photograph him again in the future.'

The Boy Next (to the) Door: Elvis by Male Beauty by bengie
'There's something romantic about French doors, especially when they act as the visual gateway to a quiet farm in the English countryside. Although the setting is static, each model changes slightly how the doors are presented. Their bodies and poses, personalities and fashion, (if any) and the angles Bengie uses make each image distinctive.'
It's always fascinating for me, to both know and appreciate, why I'm drawn back to the work of a particular photographer. For some, it's about the model in focus, but in most cases, it's something more. Even when I love a particular model, I'm not always in love with how an artist chooses to shoot them. When I'm drawn to a model, it's about how I view them. When I'm drawn to an image, it's about how their viewed by the artist.
In the case of Male Beauty by bengie, the view is always spectacular. There's no equivocation in bengie's focus, with a limited amount of tease, with little to no need for fashion. Bengie' imagery spotlights the sensual and erotic side of his subjects in all their naked glory. With minimal fashion, and without many props, bengie's images have an organic feel, enhanced by the locations that uses in his shoots.
The studio bengie uses is his home in Cheshire England, and he utilizes both the inside, and the barns and fields which surround it. One of my favorite places that bengie often uses is his back patio, with models posing in front of the French doors. One of my favorite profiles of bengie's work was from 2015 and focused on various models posing in front of the French door. (HERE:)
At the time of the piece, bengie hadn't shot with Elvis yet, so when I saw images of Elvis on the patio, I knew they needed a feature of their own. Many FH readers might remember from my featured with Elvis from last year. (HERE:) Elvis creates such beautiful lines and poses and there's an energy in his work that's both captivating and erotically engaging. Within Range: Dan by Male Beauty by bengie
It's always visually satisfying visiting the portfolio of Male Beauty by bengie. The UK based photographer is one of my favorite chroniclers of the masculine beauty of the male form. bengie not only capture incredible shots of the male physique, he always manages to capture a glimpse into his sexual soul's of his subjects.
It am always bewildered when encounter images of hot naked men who are shot almost like Ken dolls. I am never sure whether the photographer is hoping for more mainstream recognition, or whether they think masking the carnal will help their models feel more comfortable. It's almost as if think the models they're shooting will fool themselves into thinking they're in a suit and tie and not standing in front of the camera and posing completely naked.
There's a place for those images I'm sure, and maybe some feel better about hanging them on a living room wall, but there's also something so clearly missing. One of the things I love so much about bengie's work is both the beauty and honesty in what I see reflected back.
I was truck by bengie's images of Dan for just that reason. Dan's not manscaped to perfection, not every hair on his head in place, his natural sexiness exudes naturally from bengie's shots, from Dan's eyes, his poses and beautiful body and poses and his confidence in front of the camera.
I was also struck by bengie's images of Dan because of it's studio setting. As FH readers are aware, many of bengie's shoots occur on and around his Chester England home. As much as I love bengie's shots of models in fields, in his barn and especially in his famous shower, I love the variety of shots, and the blend of Dan's modern look with both sexually dynamic and classic poses.
When shooting on his property, bengie's subjects are often lit by window light and the sun. I love the way the light cascades over Dan's body, especially in the black and white shots. Shooting out in field may seem bigger, but shooting on location can often come with more limits, with clouds covering the sun or difficulty finding the perfect background. Although shot in studio, bengie's images of Dan have a sense of freedom and expressiveness without any creative boundaries or limits.
