Just Because: Scott Herman by Joseph Smileuske

If you are a reader of FH you are more than likely a fan of Scott Herman. It has been amazing to watch how Scott has developed such a legion of loyal followers through the respectful and caring way he interacts with those who are apart of his 'nation'. Scott has inspired many to refocus on their health not just preaching from the stage but being with them side by side every step of the way!

Scott is also there consistently for his followers and fans, checking in, sharing updates of his life and has truly created one of the most interactive communities with a back and forth between celebrity and public rarely seen.

Although Scott shares new shots of himself almost daily it is nice to see Scott in front of the lens of the talented photographer Joseph Smileuske. Joseph started as a photo retoucher finally buying the equipment he needed three years ago to create colorful and vibrant images of his own. Love these shots from his recent shoot with Scott!

Favorite Face Of The Day: Matthew Hartwig

When I first saw shots of 20 year old Matthew Hartwig I instantly thought of GQ cica 80's and 90's. Great face, classic look, dark hair and beautiful eyes that tell you instantly that he serious about his image and about career. The first shots I saw of Matthew were by one of my Favorite photographers Ev Dylan. (see below). I was instantly drawn to Matthews look, his lips, his eyes. There is an beautiful intensity in his work in front of the camera. At first I wondered if this was 'who' Matthew was. That was until I saw shots of him not in front of the professional lens. When at play, when with family and friends Matthew's smile and sense of fun are on full display.

From Matthew's Facebook Page:
Suave, charming and good natured, Matthew Hartwig’s look is reminiscent of a young Pierce Brosnan; classic americana with a european twist. He started modeling in 2008 when he was 18. He is the fourth of seven german children born to Nancy and Craig in Tacoma, WA. He is a devoted friend and family man, choosing to spend his extra time with his loved ones. In addition to modeling, he excels in and enjoys anything visually stimulating. He is passionate about cooking, horseback riding, interior design, architecture, international fashion merchandising, style, singing, dancing, photography, culture and traveling. Matthew’s keen eye for style and sophistication gravitates towards designers such as Valentino, Giorgio Armani, Christian Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier and Christopher Bailey.

“I love modeling for so many reasons! I love the allure of wearing well made clothes and being a part of a talented group of artists who are inspired by beauty. I love meeting new people; finding out who they are, what motivates artistically and what inspires them in their professions. It’s exciting to go on one adventure after another, bonding with strangers over an artistic idea. By the end of the process, we’ve become a family, of sorts, connected by talent, passion, style, creativity and most importantly, beauty.”
Matthew Hartwig

Matthew Hartwig By Ev Dylan

My last profile of photographer Ev Dylan was last July when I posted about his work with Mason O'Sullivan. Ev is one of my favorite photographers and I always use the words 'quiet beauty' when describing his work. The best way I can put it into words is that Ev's photos slowly ease over and through the veiwer. Ev's work is not meant to hit you over the head or shock you, instead it is meant to become a part of you.

When I posted back in July, Ev was still in the process of completing his book 'Lust'. Ev tells me that he just finished shooting 'Lust' with Matthew Hartwig being the last model he shot for the project.

"Matthew has natural modeling talent and is a total pleasure to work with. I was so happy with the results of our first shoot that I asked him to travel to Texas for a week long shoot to kick off work on my second photo book."
