Given it's a night most people don't want to spend alone, when is too early to start planning for New Year's Eve?  If you want a date, a reservation, you have to think about it early. f you want to go or have a party of your own, (pre-pandemic) you need time to organize.  Even if you just want to stay home with a partner,  snuggle in with Chinese take-out and a movie, time is not always on your side. 

Planning for this holiday soiree, actually began in October.  A New Year's Eve party however, wasn't initially endgame. It began when I saw an image that Brian (Briancan Photography) posted on his Instagram.  I loved the shot, especially the model's pose, his strong body and striking facial structure.  The model was Cayden Clay, and I immediately contacted Brian about a possible FH feature.

Brian was on board, so I then shot Cayden a message.  Most of the images from Brian that I saw featured Cayden outside and on the beach and considered waiting and posting them next spring.  I'm not known for my patience however, and was eager to to feature Brian's work with Cayden.  As luck would have it, Brian messaged me that he and Cayden had an indoor shoot scheduled for December 14th. 

I took the opportunity to ask both Brian and Cayden if they'd consider shooting a few New Year's Even themed shots during their time together.  I expected maybe one or two shots of Cayden in a party hat but as you can see, they went above and beyond.  Since no one should spend New Year's Eve alone, Cayden was joined by model Sterlingjock to capture both the big night, and the morning after. 

'I had worked with Cayden and Sterlingjock before as a duo in an outdoor shoot earlier this year and they had great chemistry together. So it made sense to bring them together in the studio. Tye gets the credit for the New Year's Eve idea which worked really well. The models seem to like the idea of a new years eve shoot and coordinated the jock, shirts and ties which added to the look I like using this furnished studio as it provides an interesting backdrop for shoots like this. Obviously the sofa came in handy. LOL '

Brian

Cayden enjoyed the sofa and the many props and interesting backgrounds the studio provided.. Although he had  previously met Sterlingjock when they worked with Brian last summer, this was the first time Cayden posed nude with another model.  It was also nice celebrating the holiday, even a few weeks early, especially given the pandemic is going to mean the 31st is going to be quieter and more intimate than the previous New Year's Eve parties that Cayden usually goes to.

'Brian is very enthusiastic and encouraging; he takes suggestions and offer lots of ideas. The whole process runs pretty smoothly so I appreciate that. It was also  nice to get creative with the props and gave us something to work since we weren’t modeling any clothes!'

Although goal with FH is to celebrate the male form,  I don't often ask models directly about their penis.  I generally like to focus on process, and their experience with the creation of a shot or shoot.  Sometimes however, a penis will simply not be ignored and in the case of Toronto based model Hunter, (Sterlingjock) his penis emerged, demanding a little attention. 

Another reason I don't generally ask about penises, is I like to gage a models comfortability.  I've learned over the years that despite being modeling naked, many are actually reluctant exhibitionists. Some nude models can be quite shy, and not all relish the spotlight and the attention they receive.  When he began modeling, Hunter was actually one of those shy models, who didn't initially see himself as model material.  It was actually through the lens of others that he not only gained confidence, but grew into both an eager and enthusiastic exhibitionist. 

 

FH viewers were first introduced to Hunter this past New Year's Eve.  (Too Early In The Game)  I'd asked Brian (Briancan Photography) about his work with model Cayden Clay, and when I heard they had a shoot planned, whether they had time to include a New Year's Theme.  Luckily for us,  not only did Brian agree, but also informed me it would be a couple shoot with Cayden and Hunter.  This worked out perfectly as no one should celebrate a midnight all alone.

I loved the shots that Brian sent on and was immediately drawn to Hunter and his look.  Because of the theme, the focus was story drive, not on specific body parts.  I loved what Hunter brought to the shoot, his enthusiasm, and the joy he seemed to be having with the theme.  I also loved his handsome face, his eyes and great smile.  I also love his overall physique and how his long body and legs draped so seductively over the couch in the studio. 

It wasn't until I was adding links to the New Year's piece that I really took notice of well equipped Hunter was and how comfortable he appeared in front of the camera..  I headed to Hunter's Model Mayhem page to add the link, and spent more time than I should have devouring the visuals in his portfolio.  On Instagram, Hunter's credit is hungjock, with the added quote, 'Young, Hung and full of Yum. That had me assuming that Hunter had not only embraced his blessings, but that asking a question or two about them would probably be ok.

It was on Model Mayhem that Brian first noticed Hunter as well. Brian initially approached Hunter about taking part in his bathtub series. (Total Immersion) Brian certainly noticed how hung Hunter was, but was equally taken his handsome face.  During their time together shooting, Brian also noticed that Hunter was a bit of an exhibitionist.  Hunter's comfortability with shooting nude made him a great creative collaborator, and he and Brian have continued to work together often. Brian shares that because of Hunter's comfortability with being naked, he's up for pushing boundaries creatively and willing to try almost any idea he throws at him.

Always Naked: Cayden by Briancan Photography

'I’m pretty much always naked.'

Although 2021 was a difficult year for many, it ended, at least on FH, on a visual high note.  I loved the New Year's eve festivities that Briancan Photography captured featuring models Sterlingjock and Cayden Clay.  Like many others I'm sure, I began crushing over Cayden after seeing images of the Toronto based model that Brian had posted on his Instagram. I immediately got in touch with Brian about featuring their work together. 

As luck would have it, Brian was about to shoot Cayden again, this time along fellow model Sterlingjock.  I asked if they might be able to capture a few New Year's eve themed shoots, and if you saw original post and imags, (Too Early In The Game) they far surpassed my expectations!  During the couples shoot, Brian also took the opportunity to shoot both models separately.   These are some of my favorites from Brian's work with Cayden.  Hopefully, I'll also be able to share some shots of Sterlingjock in the near future.

Whenever I interview a new model, I'm always curious about their experience and thoughts on posing nude. I like to gage a model's comfortability level, especially when it comes to how much they want to share, of both their body, and other parts of their life.  Not all models are totally comfortable posing naked and sharing their images with the world.  Others however, like Cayden, enjoy being naked and basking in the attention they receive from others.  

'It was not a hard decision to pose naked for me. When I was 18 I had a lot of trouble with showing my body because I was taught not to show shin, but I’ve since gotten over that. I work as stripper so I’m pretty much always naked. There was a time as a contemporary dancer when I danced on stage naked with 20 other bodies and we are lucky 

Ya, I mean I like being naked. And other gay men like seeing me naked! The plan at the moment is working on consistently putting out my own content. Whether nude or not, taking advantage of photographers offering to take my photo is helping me navigate my way through the realities of keeping up with a content calendar.'

Cayden

Cayden was initially  referred to Brian by another photographer who Cayden had previously worked with.  Brian liked his look and was especially struck by Cayden's physique and incredible abs.  They first worked together last summer shooting on location at the Bluffs. It was images from that shoot that I first saw last fall.  These shots were taken during their second shoot this past December.  The location was a rented studio in downtown Toronto.

'Cayden was comfortable right away shooting nude.  I enjoyed the entire shoot but I think my favorite part was the resulting images we created. That reclining portrait with sun on his face and body was probably my favourite shot of him'

For this shoot, it was a parka being unzipped, and a winter scarf being dropped, but the impact, was equally impressive.   Initially, I was going to focus only on the recent studio shoot between Hunter (Sterlingjock) and Brian. (Briancan Photography).  Hunter however, sent on a few shots from their day in the snow, and I knew the piece needed a part 2.  Brian graciously dug into his archives and sent on more favorites from the shoot.

How/who got you started with modeling?

I went to OCAD University for photography and design. Often in our projects we as students used ourselves or other classmates to try out our ideas. I never loved myself in front of the camera but did it when I needed to put to film what was in my head. I was then pressured by a photographer friend who shoots male nudes to pose for him, I didn’t see myself as model material but agreed. I instantly loved what we shot and seeing myself through someone else’s lens gave me so much self -confidence. 

Was modeling nude part of the plan from the beginning? 

I had hesitated a few times when asked, but when I did commit, I couldn’t get enough and wanted to shoot more. 

Was it a hard decision to make? 

There’s always a stigma of nudes and erotic photography as being “smut”, so at first I was more reluctant because of worrying how society might view me. But once I started thinking for myself and liked showing off what I was gifted with, I was unbothered. Now I even embrace the ‘dirty’ imagery as well as the artistic. 

Were family, friends reactions ever an issue? 

A lot of my friends are very supportive and impressed with the work I’ve made modelling. I remember some family had seen some portraits I had done just in underwear posing with fruit and the reaction was pretty much, “I don’t want to see that”. So I simply don’t share the work I create with family or any friends that I might feel would be embarrassed seeing me in such a way. 

What was your first nude shoot like? 

It was outdoors in the woods, very au natural in nature. There were a few times we almost got caught by passer-bys, but turned out I love being watched so that also excited me.  I enjoy most of the shoots outdoors because I’m able to interact and pose with my environment. It adds to the exhibitionism when captured out in public

Does it ever bother you when a photographer os solely focused on your penis? 

Absolutely not. Sure I’m an attractive guy, but its a beautiful penis so it deserves the spotlight as well hahaha. 

What are the best, and worst things about being so well hung? 

I got lucky in the dick department so I’m happy to share and show off for others to enjoy. I love seeing guys face light up when I unzip my pants or drop my towel. I appreciate the compliments I get and love knowing my big dick is turning guys on. I guess the negatives would be that sometimes it’s all guys want to talk about and it’s not always the right time/right place for it. In terms of sex, not all guys that say they can take a big dick actually can. So many disappointing blow jobs. 

Were the erection shots from the studio shoot planned, or just a natural part of the moment? 

I’m an exhibitionist so I often get a little excited when stripping naked. My cock enjoys the attention of the camera. Some photographers love it and we go with that direction. But sometimes we work on more natural relaxed nudes. Brian has worked with me many times so depending on what we are going for he knows when to tell me to reign it in and when to let the monster loose. 

Do you have a dream scenario for a shoot that you'd love to do? 

I’m really interested in exploring group shots. Love more shoots exploring that line between art & porn. I’d like to do a CMNM (Clothed Male/ Nude Male) shoot with a bunch of guys in suits. 

What is the best thing about working with Brian? 

He’s really easy going and comfortable to work with. He’s good at communicating ideas for the shots and also happy to try something new and see if it works.  We’ve done so many together since that first one I’ve lost count. We had one of our shoots published at Eroticco Mag which was a hi-light. 

What is your favorite part about being a nude male model? 

I don’t have to worry about whether wardrobe will fit for a shoot haha. Although I do also have fun with outfits that “don’t fit” I’m quite an exhibitionist and love having my dick stared at so it’s great being able to work on creating shots for that intention and enjoying that whole experience at the same time.
