'It's almost as if I was meant to pose.'
It's hard to believe, but it almost 14 years ago that I first discovered the work of photographer
Chris Teel. Chris is not only one of my longest creative collaborators, he's one of my favorite photographers to feature. One of the things I love most about Chris' work is the choice and variety of models he works with. Each model has something unique that Chris first notices, and then spotlights and captures. There's always something that stands out within his images that has me longing to see and learn more.
When I was recently scanning Chris' portfolio, his work with model
Ashton Labruce most definitely stood out. The first thing I noticed was what an erotic force Ashton is in front of the camera. The force exudes not just from his beautiful body, it's a powerful feel and attitude that comes from his stance, his strong poses and facial expressions. Ashton eyes go beyond just connecting with the viewer, they seem to go through the lens of Chris' camera with a potent enticement.
Even more than his physical assets and his proficiency with pose and connection, I was equally impressed with Ashton's views on modeling and running his
Onlyfans. Anyone who has joined a model's OnlyFans, knows it takes more than just infrequently posting nude selfies to keep an audience involved and renewing their subscription. Have a great look may bring viewers in, but that alone isn't enough to keep them there.
The best OnlyFans include regular updates, viewer interaction, videos and a variety of images, including not just selfies, but creative concepts shot by experienced photographers. You need to have goals, and a plan, and run it like a business. With his
OF, Ashton uses his brain and as much as his body and knows full well that you can't put a business on hold for days or weeks at a time, and expect people to want to come back. Using core competencies to strategically ensure those who join are no only regularly satisfied, they return for more.
When did you first get interested in modeling?
I believe that models come from two paths: those who dreamt of becoming a model, and those who were encouraged to get into modeling. I wasn't really dreaming of that but people around me kept on telling me that I'd be good at it, so I gave it a try.
What has been your favorite modeling experience thus far?
I've had many. Every opportunity to choose is an opportunity to create art in a team effort along with the cameraman. I once posed for a very professional painter whose pieces resembles those of the Renaissance.
Any odd or strange stories from any shoots?
I suppose the first time is always a bit awkward. It now may feel like the shoots have always been in my life, but I still remember my very first one. I was a little shy (just a little). But they have never been strange to me. It's almost as if I was meant to pose.
What factors did you weigh before deciding to do nude or implied shots?
I analyzed the outcome of it in my life in the long term. My partner was very supportive. My family has always been very clear that they'll love me for who I am. So it was always 100% of a personal choice rather than balancing the negative repercussions of doing it. Simply because in my case there weren't and there aren't any. I am very thankful for the support. I feel in my element by doing this, and surrounded by people in this environment.
Were you nervous at all to first share initially nudes on-line?
Not nervous per se, but I guess "cautious" would be a more precise word. Cautious of what it means that the material really "stays there forever". But as my life took its shape, I realized that it was all fitting into place so nicely. And so perfectly into place, that I didn't even have to analyze anymore.
How did you connect with Chris?
He found me online and proposed to do a photoshoot. It now feels like I've known Chris forever, but there was a first time, indeed. I always felt very comfortable around him and still do, which is why we collaborate very much together.
Did you discuss with Chris what you were looking for from your work together?
Yes. I did check out his work, and he had checked out my portfolio as well. So it was very easy to know what the expectations and the result of the combined work would be.
What was the best thing about your time working with Chris?
Chris is very professional and talented as a photographer. I like how he emphasizes in conveying feelings and emotions through the stills, rather than focusing on perfecting the light for example. And that's what I love about modeling in general: it allows you to adapt to each photographer's style and the material is never and can't never be the same.
There's always something new to get done: a new pose, a new light setting, a new style, a new expression. There's simply not enough life for it all, but it is exciting to work with talented people such as Chris to make the most out of it.
Whose idea was adding the Mango?
It was Chris' idea, though I have used bananas before. I love playing with stuff and when Chris even suggested that idea, I knew it wouldn't be long until we'd make it happen.
What part of your body are you most happy with? What part gets the most attention from others?
I love my core. That's absolutely the part of my body that I like the most. It bends nicely, it is strong, solid, defined, and ripped rather than bulky. But I don't believe that it's ever be mentioned as something that "catches attention from others". I hear compliments on... other parts of my body and that kind of shadows everything else, lol.
Why do you think you like modeling?
Because it is a means of expression. It is art and I love creating new stuff. As I said, there's always something new to be created and the people in this environment is both very artistic and professional.
What would your dream scenario be for a shoot you would like to be a part of?
Well, other than a photoshoot in Mars, which would be highly unlikely to happen, I'd say a photoshoot in the Rocky Mountains in the middle of the winter. Now weather would be a problem but it's still a dream.
What made you decide to start an OnlyFans?
Some friends' around me and my partner's support. And I'm very thankful that they encouraged me to do it. Otherwise, I would have never done it. But I still can't see why nobody ever mentions that having a powerful brain is as useful as a tool for OF as much as the physical components. I would've felt way more capable and way less self-conscious if I had known that before.
What can those who join expect, regular updates? Videos? Interaction?
I love OFing. I share two new full length videos per week. I log myself in daily. I post at least daily. I answer all messages and comments. I throw polls. I share screenshots and photos as well.
Some creators struggle to film and/or deliver one video per week, but I believe I'm a natural because I can deliver 2 weekly without even splitting them into parts. It's just my passion. I believe the world is full of surprises and I am surprised myself that I have found so much joy in a computer with internet connection where I can connect to OF and share content beautifully.
So, if you read Ashton's answers, and didn't just scroll through the hot images, you may be wondering about that mango. If you saw the movie
American Pie, you know that fruit can make be a great erotic aid. I don't usually like to tease on the site, but the mango shots were a little too explicit for
FH. They were also really messy, as you know how wet and sticky a mango can be. Chris assures me though, that the series of juicy mango shoots are all on his
