Happy Jocktober!
I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with jockstraps. I love visuals of hot men in tight, colorful, body spotlighting pouches and straps. When I was younger however, I played a lot of sports, meaning not only did I wear them, I saw plenty of them on other people in locker rooms. That may sound hot in one way, but as a young teen, struggling with my sexuality, I also found it a bit intimidating, even scary from time to time.
Imagine being 11 or 12, going through puberty and being terrified of the changes your body is going through. Hiding ones sexuality, even when your not even sure what it is, is easier when your little. After puberty however, it gets much harder. Those jockstraps I saw were not just athletic supporters, they were symbols of masculinity and growing up. Add to that, I saw and smelled way to may jocks that were sweaty, stained and well past their 'best buy' date.
My first sport was hockey, and often played and practiced at public rinks. That meant sharing the locker room with whatever team or league had rented the space before us. Many times, those were adult leagues. I was young, so old was relative, but seeing 40, 50 and 60 year old men in sweaty, yellow stained jockstraps wasn't hot in the least. I don't really remember any color variations, just the classic white jock, which were often, far from white after use. I also remember a rack in our basement, when my brothers and I had to hang our jocks and hockey gear, and the smell was not pleasant.
Although I've grown to love jockstraps again, I still have an aversion to classic white jockstraps, especially for athletes. From stories I've read, some people are drawn to a used, sweat jock, but I'm not one of them. I like them new, colorful and used not for sport, but for fashion and fun, erotic adventures. Over the years, I've featured countless visuals of hotties in jockstraps. I've also posted about their history, and my experiences as an athlete in locker rooms with the athletic supporter. So many photographers use the fashion item in their shoots, and I've been fortunate to have featured many. A few that come to mind included pieces spotlighting the work of: Hans Fahrmeyer, Studio1x, Alex Hilbert, PhotoRSH, Bob Burkhardt and Photosmith..
Earlier this summer, as part of my hump day series, I featured a selection of strapped jocks captured by photographer Andrew Bowman. (HERE:) Andrew often uses jockstraps and athletic fashions and gear in his sporty theme. When I went back into the last set of shots he sent on, I was happy to find a few jockstrap shots I hadn't previously featured. When I was thinking of photographers who regularly uses jockstraps in their work, one of the first photographers who came to mind was The Male Form By CP. If you've checked out CP's Twitter page, or joined his site, (HERE:) you know that sporty is definitely a theme. CP often shoots his models not only in jockstraps, but in sports gear, especially football. Not only is football the most popular sport in the US, it's also massive part of the culture, economy, and daily life in Alabama, the state where CP resides and works.
Jockstraps are one of a few items that blends both the masculine athletic culture, with homoeotic culture and it's history of defiance and resistance. Shoulder pads on a football player, athletic. Shoulder pads, as the only piece of fashion on a male model, incredibly hot! CP blends both of these themes within his work and I especially love the vibrant colors of the jockstraps he chooses to best emphasize the model in focus. In addition to sharing visuals of his athletic supporters, CP also shared a bit about his work and he loves utilizing the sexy suspensor.
Any idea how many jockstraps and pairs of underwear you've purchased over the years?
My current underwear collection is in the 200's and I've probably bought hundreds more. Many I've given away and of course also sold pairs as well.
Do models pick the jocks they like, or do you pick what suits them best?
Usually the models picks out the underwear they want to wear. I'll also pick some look as well that I think will look good and that I want to see them in. Letting models choose though, usually makes them more comfortable
Do models ask to keep the jocks they pose in?
Some do yes. I usually say yes, especially if it's been a good shoot, and they were enjoyable and great to work with.
What is the best part about using jockstraps?
The best thing about jocks are how they hug the body and put the package on display
Have OnlyFans sites helped, or hurt when it comes to finding models?
I think that Onlyfans has definitely hurt the pro industry not just porn studios but small photographers like myself. I's not just Onlyfans though, today, many people buy direct from the models. Some models
I love the behind the scenes videos you share on your site, are models generally open to this part of the process?
BTS videos are part of the shoot it's discussed upfront no one has ever had an issue

I love that CP doesn't overly edit his videos, they're basically the shooting process from start to finish. You get a great behind the scenes look, including many hotties sliding in and out of their jocks for the camera. Horror Hunks: The Cherry Race from Pledge Night
A college fraternity in the middle of hazing their new pledges during "hell week" incur the wrath of a long deceased pledge who died during a hazing gone wrong 20 years ago.
The film world is full of movies with jockstrap scenes. Some of the most famous, and some of my favorites, are featured over the next three pages. I wanted to start however, with lesser known film and scene. I hadn't heard of the 1988 comedy/horror flick Pledge Night until searching for films on theme this past weekend. It didn't come up when searching 'jockstrap' scenes, and it wasn't until adding the word horror that I was able to find it.
The movie was entertaining enough, not great, but certainly watchable. For a slasher flick it was more silly than sinister, but this scene was quite original. Despite being frustratingly shot, (meaning showing very little male skin) the concept was original and I thought a unique pledge hazing activity.
The goal is simple, the pledges, all in jockstraps, are required to pick up a cherry, sitting on an ice block, with their ass cheeks. They then need to squeeze the cherry and run and place it on the other side of the room. The team that gets the most cherries to the other side win the game.
The kicker is that losing team must take the cherries, all of which have been squeezed between the butt cheeks of the other pledges, and swallow them.
