Soft Sand and Bare Skin: Zachary by Frank Joseph

'A mile and a half stretch of sand just north of the Landon hotel in Miami consistently ranks in the Top 10 Best Nude Beaches in America. As the only officially designated clothing-optional beach in Florida, it's surprisingly family friendly.'

I know there's 'nude' beaches all over the United States, but I wasn't there were any 'official' nude beach areas in Miami until doing a little research for this piece.  When I first saw these images of Zachary by photographer Frank Joseph, I was taken by the beauty of the location.  The stunning visuals of the sun, sand and sky certainly match the erotic beauty of a nude Zachary enjoying all location has to offer.

I was a little confused, as in the background of many of Frank's shots was a tall hotel, with great balcony views of the stretch of beach below.  Frank shared that the Haulover beach in Miami beach, and is one of the most well known nude beaches in the country.  Frank also believes the building is not a hotel, but instead most likely a residential condominium.  I couldn't help but wonder if the manger of condo's try to hide the views of the nude beach, or use it as a selling point....

I'm quite sure if people knew they could observe photoshoots with hot, nude male models, there would be quite a waiting list for a unit.  Frank shares he loves the location, and has gone there with several other models.  It's easy to see why.  Not only the beauty of the natural elements, but the huts an other man made elements as well.

Despite being a nude beach, Frank tries to only shoot in the public areas when it's early, to avoid too many onlookers showing up and interfering with the shots.  For this shoot, he and Zackary arrived at the beach at 6:30 am, when the sun was just beginning to rise.

'It was still dark when we first arrived - and cold. Zack was shivering and his feet got cold in the sand. He asked to keep his sneakers on but sometimes they interfered with the shot, so he had to grin and bear it ::))'

I first noticed Frank's shots of Zachary on his website awhile ago.  I was inspired to ask Frank about featuring the shoot after seeing a few shots Frank posted on his discussion group, The Daily Grind.  Frank send out regular updates with images and videos, and his shots of Zachary had me wanting to see more from their work together.

My favorite shots from the shoot have to be the images with the warm sand clinging so tightly to Zachary's bare skin.  We've all experienced having sand on, and in or bodies after a day at the beach, but it's usually not so erotically enjoyable as the visuals of the sand on Zachary.
