Jonathan Groff as King George

So far, it's only King George, (Jonathan Groff) who's shown the family jewels on screen.  Although the frontal (above) is incredible, I also enjoyed the scene below.

Kudos to Astin & Teller

I had a sort of reunion with actors Miles Teller and Skylar Astin on Sunday night. It wasn't planned, but it turned out all right.  I didn't watch the season premiere of Saturday Night Live on Saturday night, instead, I DVR'd and watched early Sunday night.  I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it.

Actor Miles Teller looked really hot, and was really good in most of the sketches he appeared in.  A highlight was his spot-on Eli Manning in the shows cold open.  Teller looked so much like Manning that I wasn't sure for a second it was him.  She show lost a little steam mid-way through, but given how sub-par it's been of late, the season premiere was  promising.

After my SNL viewing, I finally watched the concert reunion of Spring Awakening.  I saw some of it earlier this year when it was first released, and enjoyed the cast performance on this year's Tony Awards.  I had it on my DVR and decided I should really watch it before I deleted it.

I'm really glad I did, as I really enjoyed it and remembered why I loved so much of the score.  I was always so focused in the past on Jonathan Groff that I sometimes ignored the rest of the cast.  I really gained an appreciation for the ensemble with this airing, especially the incredibly talented Skylar Astin.  I might just have to check out his new fall show...

21 And Over

When I turned off my television, I remembered that Teller and Astin had co-starred together in the 2013 comedy, 21 And Over.  The movie was rather forgettable, but the extended hazing scene, with both actors wearing only gym socks covering their junk, was certainly memorable, and worth checking a second look at.

Bobby Conte: Good Company

I didn't plan on watching The Tony's last night.  I set it to record, and thought I'd watch later, and fast forward through the boring parts.  Problem was, I got hooked from the start, and surprisingly for an award show, there were very few boring parts.

There were no many exceptional moments, from the hostess with the Mostess, Ariana DeBose and the incredible performances from Spring Awakening and Joaquina Kalukango in Paradise Square. and I loved hearing Bernadette Peters again singing Children Will Listen. There were also plenty of my favorite stage hotties, including Jonathan Groff, Skylar Astin, Matt Doyle and Aaron Tveit to hold my interest.

I think my favorite hottie of the night, and in one of my favorite musical performances, was Bobby Conte with the cast of the gender bending revival of Company.  Conte's co-star Patti LuPone won the Tony, it was Bobby who had my attention.  When I first saw Bobby on stage, I didn't immutably recognize him.  The last time I featured him on the site, singing There Are Worse Things I Could Do, (HERE:) he had much shorter hair, and no facial hair.   Check out a bit of the Tony performance below.

Jonathan Groff: Those He's Shown...

'This picture... I texted it to everyone cause this really sums up our experience.'
Jonathan Groff

I didn't get to see Spring Awakening on Broadway, but I  did become a fan after seeing many performances from the show on-line.  In the recent concert film and documentary, Spring Awakening: Those We've Known, the cast looks back at the Tony Award winning show fifteen years after it's Broadway debut.

If you know the show, you might remember there's a sex scene between original cast members Lea Michelle and Jonathan Groff. I've featured the cast, and the scene previously on FH. (HERE:) In the recent HBO documentary, Groff recalls that scene, and a spectacular shot of his ass that he felt summed up his experience with the show.
