Last year, while posting a series of pieces on male nude scenes from 1970's, a reader e-mailed that I should check out actor John David Carson in 1971's
Pretty Maids all in a Row. In the film, Carson plays a nerdy and sexually inexperienced student who is tormented by all the out of reach pretty young girls who surround him at school. It doesn't help that his character also suffers from chronic priapism.
Cue Rock Hudson, Carson's guidance counselor who is an 'expert' at seducing young women. Hudson's character takes him under his wing and also persuades one of the schools hottest teachers (Angie Dickinson) to sleep with him. Dickinson (and her slit dress) are incredibly hot, but I believe Dickinson and the female cast members are the only ones who show any degree of nudity.

There is a hot scene featuring John (clip below) taking a bath. While at Dickinson's apartment, he spills something on his pants and Dickinson washes them while he cleans up in the tub. Except for maybe a second of side nudity, Carson doesn't show much, but he is adorable and Dickinson's reaching for the soap is a fun moment.

Rub a dub dub
Carson starred in a few well known movies in the seventies including
The Day of the Dolphin, The Savage is Loose and
Love Story. He also appeared on TV in the seventies and eighties on shows including
Medical Center, Petrocelli, Room 222, Eight is Enough, Falcon Crest, Charlie's Angels, and teamed again with Dickinson on an episode of
Police Woman.
Caron's good looks came from his Irish and Cherokee ancestry and led to early work in television commercials before studying acting at Los Angeles Valley College. Carson's last role was as a business man in Richard Gere's office in 1990's
Pretty Woman. Carson voluntarily retired from filming after the film and sadly died at age 57 from lymphoma in 2007.
