A Natural Flow: Kylan Boyd by Michael von Redlich

As I wrote about on the previous page, there are stages and perspectives to both sex and sensuality. Most of us love ravenous, wild sex, but that not a state of erotica we can maintain 24/7. Many of our most intense sensual moments are much quieter and tame, and for many of them, we're completely alone.
Beyond just masturbation, some of or daily activities can be intensely erotic. Showers, baths, a good movie or book can all be both mundane daily rituals, or incredibly erotic experiences, depending on our mood and mindset. Most of the time, we do these routine tasks all by ourselves.
We also dress and undress everyday, most times, thinking nothing of it. Yet, watching someone else undress, especially someone we find fascinating or beautiful, can be intensely erotic. I love featuring a visual undress, and loved this series photographer Michael von Redlich captured of Kylan Boyd.
In a recent post featuring Michael's work, I featured a series he captured of Seth Peterson walking away from, then back towards Michael's camera. (HERE:) That set of images, featuring Seth, also a porn star, just walking quietly in the desert, were some of my favorite images from the set Michael had sent on.
This series, with Kylan slipping out of jeans, reminded me a bit of that series. Both gorgeous men, both in the adult film industry, but captured by Michael simply doing something we do each and every day. Instead of leaning into their work in porn, Michael chose to capture small, yet incredibly hot moments, we most likely get to see in any of their films. Kylan also responded to Michael's perspective, as it was his previous work with Seth and Aiden that motivated him to contact Michael about a shoot.
How did you and Kylan connect?
Kylan reached out to me via email after seeing my work with other models in the industry.
What about him did you know, and motivate you to want to shoot him?
I knew nothing about him, but based on the photos he sent to introduce himself, I was totally on board.
Tell me about the outside location, loved how you and Kylan used it in the shoot?
It's an area near South Mountain near Phoenix. I've used this location previously for many shoots. It was a natural flow and connection that Kylan adapted to very quickly.
Did he throw out suggestions or ideas during the process?
As with all my shoots, it was fairly collaborative - he did have ideas and suggestions, but was also very comfortable with being directed.
Who was more chatty during the shoot, you or Kylan?
For the first shoot, I was probably more chatty, but he warmed up pretty quickly and definitely held his own.
What was your favorite part of the day and working with Kylan?
I enjoyed the easy flow of conversations and learning more about his perspective on the adult entertainment world. He is very charming and charismatic. The first shoot went so well, we immediately booked a 2nd shoot 2 days later in a different location - a shoot that was even better or more collaborative!
