Sam Tutty in Two Strangers

'She's called the Big Apple
No one knows why
But she's my kind of town,
and I'm her kind of street-smart guy'

One of my favorite parts of the Tony's, is being introduced to actors I'd not heard of before.  I've 'met' so many actors for the first time, (including Aaron Tveit and Isaac Cole Powell) while watching the show.  This year, one of my favorite introductions was to English actor Sam Tutty.  I'd never heard or seen Tutty before, nor had I heard of his show, Two Strangers (Carry A Cake Across New York).

FH readers know I love me a cute ginger, and Tutty is adorable.  He's also incredibly talented, and I enjoyed his energy during his performance from the show.  I've since read a few reviews, some loving the show, others.. not so much.   Regardless, I enjoyed my introduction to Tutty in his Broadway debut.

Although new to Broadway, Tutty is no stranger to belting it out on stage.  Tutty has an extensive resume of stage credits in the UK including a 2019 turn in a West End production of Dear Evan Hansen.  Tutty's performance gained widespread praise from critics. And he was nominated for numerous awards, including the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical in 2020. At age 22, Tutty is one of the youngest winners of the most prestigious UK theatrical award
