12 Days: Corey Sevier in The Tree That Saved Christmas

#9 Corey Sevier

The Tree That Saved Christmas (The Christmas Tree Farm) was a great flick to have in the background as I tried to organise (the quit) my filing cabinet. Party Of Five and Mean Girls Lacey Chabert goes home to her family's Christmas tree farm to try to save her home, and the farm from being taken from the bank for development.

The Bank, or the bankers son in this case was played by actor Corey Sevier. So many Christmas movies are shot in Canada, for tax reasons, and because you often find plenty of snow whenever filming takes place. Given the local, there is a bit of a pattern of centering Christmas flicks around American actress's, then filling in the male lead and supporting cast with local Canadian actors. This is certainly the case with BC based Tree That Saved Christmas.

Although he has been acting since he was a kid, I think I first became aware of Corey Sevier when he was about 20 appearing on North Shore back in 2004. Many of you might be familiar with Corey, and his incredible chest and stomach, from appearances on Smallville, CSI, Psych, Supernatural and The Best Years.

Corey currently co-stars on the Andie MacDowell series Cedar Cove, another series shot in British Columbia. Every time I see a commercial for Cedar Cove I think I should give it a shot, and maybe Corey's arrival might have me finally checking out an episode.

Hallmark Hunks: The GOATS!

The slang term G.O.A.T. is an acronym for "greatest of all time". It's usually used to describe someone for their success and longevity in a particular field.  When it comes to Hallmark Hunks, Andrew W. Walker and Corey Sevier are definitely holiday Goats!  Given so many Hallmark movies are filmed in Canada, it makes sense that two of the Network's most loves stars hail from the Great White North.

I've been watching and enjoying Andrew W. Walker in Hallmark movies for years.  Possibly the network's most loved actor, Walker has appeared in close to 30 films in his ten plus years with the network.  I'm not sure how much power he has with his choices of roles, but Walker always seems to appear in some of the network's best movies each holiday season.

The most recent holiday film with Walker that I watched was Christmas Island. (below)  I really liked this movie, and Walker was great as an air traffic controller, whose also afraid of flying.  The movie is set in Christmas Island in Nova Scotia, (an actual place) and Walker had me wanting to head there to spend a long winter snuggled up enjoying his company...

Sevier

I've been covering actor Corey Sevier since the fist days of the site.  It wasn't because I was really familiar with his work, but more about the hot shirtless shots I saw in magazines promoting the short lived series North Shore.

It wasn't until I started watching the Canadian cutie on Hallmark that I really became a fan.  Yes, Corey has incredible abs, but he's also a skilled actor, and always brings it no matter what role he's playing.  Corey's been working with Hallmark since about 2012 and has done dozens of of movies, as well as appearing in some of their television series.

Corey was in his 20's when he first started on Hallmark, and has beautifully transitioned from the hot young stud, to an older, but equally hot stud.  Sadly, I don't think Corey has ever done an nude scenes, but he has certainly shown off his six pack in countless shirtless scenes over the years.  Although Hallmark is 'thrifty' with it's shirtless scenes, Corey had at least one in the 2023 holiday film, Take Me Back for Christmas.

12 Days: Corey Sevier in Noel Next Door

'Noel Next Door follows a single mom as she gets into a war of words with a neighbor who is ruining Christmas, only to find that this misunderstood grouch just may steal her heart.'

I know, I featured actor Corey Sevier in my 12 Days series before, but I can never get enough of the Canadian hottie who just keeps getting hotter as time goes by.  I also really liked that Corey played against type in Noel Next Door.  Hallmark holiday films usually have handsome but bland leaning men, but Sevier's character Jeremy Geer wasn't really that nice, especially to little kids banging hockey pucks off the side of his condo.

North Shore

Sevier began modeling as a child when he was just six years old.  The following year he landed his first acting job in the ABC mini-series Family Pictures' costarring along side acting veterans Angelica Houston and Sam Neill. A few years later he got the title role in the 90's version of Lassie propelling him to fame.  I think I first noticed Sevier frolicking on the beach with Jason Momoa in the short-lived series North Shore (2004)

Sevier has it all, an expressive, handsome face and an incredible body he clearly works hard to keep in shape.  He has an impressively toned chest and stomach, and an impressive pelvic V that's incredibly hot!

Although Sevier has been shirtless countless times throughout his career, he's yet to bless us with a butt or nude scene.  Hopefully that's coming in the future.  It's not that there haven't been plenty of opportunities, especially with some of the teasing titles of the projects he has appeared in... With titles including; The Silence of Adultery, Student Seduction,  A Flesh Offering, The Secret Sauce and Decoy's: Alien Seduction, he's long overdue for a flash of flesh below the waist!

12 Days: Corey Sevier in Pumpkin Regatta Romance

A headstrong marina owner teams up with the local pumpkin farmer to resurrect their lakeside town's beloved Pumpkin Regatta after a family feud cancels it, igniting old wounds and new sparks in the process.

I watched my first Hallmark holiday film in while last week and it featured one of my favorite holiday hunks, Corey Sevier.  The film wasn't exactly a Thanksgiving film, but it was certainly Autumn themed, and did feature the hot Canadian actor.  I know the phrase 'like a fine wine' is overused, but it certainly applies to Sevier.  I've been featuring Sevier on FH, (HERE:) since the early days of the site, spanning Sevier from his mid-twenties through his early forties.

I think I first took notice of the talented thespian when he was on the short-lived 2004 drama North Shore.  I also remember him making guest appearances on many shows I watched including Smallville, Wild Card and Heartland.  Sevier also had roles in several tawdry Lifetime movies including 2003's Student Seduction.

Pumpkin Regatta Romance featured Sevier romancing actress Mishael Morgan, and I enjoyed the chemistry between the two actors.  The film was shot in Ontario, most likely during the summer, but the set decoration had enough pumpkins and fall leaves to make you believe it was Autumn.  The tv movie also featured one of Hallmark's rare shirtless scenes.  Sevier looked as hot, and as fit, as the first time I remember seeing him shirtless on a beach during his time on North Shore.

12 Days: Jim Watson in Rodeo Christmas Romance

'When a rodeo bronc rider finds herself ranch-sitting for a friend while caring for her injured horse over Christmas, she clashes with a brooding veteran only to find that the magic of the season may be what they need to  heal their hearts.'

Usually I watch more than a few holiday films during the month of December.  From Hallmark flicks, to favorite features including;  Elf, The Holiday and Love Actually, and classics including The Bishops Wife, Miracle on 34th St. and others.  This year for some reason, I wasn't in the mood.  Might be the current political shit show, or maybe just my mood, not sure.  I do think however, that this year, I wasn't alone in my lack of holiday spirit.

I did record some holiday films that I haven't yet watched, and deleted one of the DVR last night by watching Rodeo Christmas Romance.  I set the recording after seeing it starred Canadian hottie Corey Sevier.  I love me some Sevier and have featured his holiday appearances many times previously on the site. (HERE:)  No matter how wholesome the holiday film is, given his incredible body, the director always seems to find a reason to get Sevier our of his shirt. Rodeo Christmas Romance didn't disappoint with a prerequisite Sevier shirtless scene early in the movie.

Before meeting Sevier's Noal Holliday, we're first introduced to his brother Billy played by Canadian actor Jim Watson. At first I thought Billy was going to be the romantic lead, as he was playing a rancher, and has quite a bit of chemistry with Emma, (Rebecca Dalton) the lead female character.  Then, they quickly rushed Billy off-screen for a bit to build on the relationship between Emma and Noal.

Of course Bill later returns to cause a little friction, but alas, he didn't get the girl.  Although this was a Lifetime film, not a Hallmark flick, I hope the next time Watson is cast in a holiday film he gets to play the leading man.

If you're able to watch much Canadian television, you might know Watson from his regular role on the medical drama Transplant, as well as roles on other Canadian based shows including: Wynonna Earp, Hudson & Rex, The Umbrella Academy, Good Witch and Mary Kills People. Most recently Watson was seen in the limited horror series Hell Hotel.

Between

Watson has been a part of many Canadian based horror and Sci-fi movies and television series including the series Between. Available on Netflix, Between takes place in a small town after a mysterious disease kills every resident over 22 years old.  Survivors of the town must fend for themselves when the government quarantines them.

Slasher

An anthology series featuring rampaging serial killers leaving carnage in their wake as their next victims fight to stay alive.

Watson also co-starred in 13 issues of Slasher, and contains what I believe is his only nude scene.  The video I included is a shirtless scene.  I did not include a video of the nude scene as you can guess from the caps, includes Watson's character being sexually assaulted.
