Blast From The Past for September 6th Robert Urich
Actor Robert Urich just had to be famous. Although he entered Florida State University on a football scholarship, with his good looks, and grin he was destined for more. Urich hit it big in the 70's on tv and movies, with his most famous roles being on "Bob and Carol, Ted and Alice", "S.W.A.T" and "Vegas". Urich also appeared in many other shows during that time including the short lived "Tabitha".
In the 80's, Urich went on to shows such as "Spenser: For Hire", and in the 90's, "The Lazarus Man". His Last series was the remake of "The Love Boat" in 1998.
Robert was not only stunninly handsome, but also known around Hollywood as one of the sweetest guys to work with. A family man, Urich married actress Heather Menzies (whom I remember fondly from 'Logan's Run') in 1975 and they had three children. Robert was one of tv's most popular actors. People were drawn to Robert and his characters. Despite being great looking, he also embodied a Jimmy Stewart 'everyman' quality that was admired by both men and women. Sadly Robert lost his battle with cancer in 2002 and his smile and talent has been sadly missed on television since. Primetime tv today is filled with a lot of doom and gloom, but Robert had a twinkle and an energy which was one of the reasons he was so popular.
Robert also had one television best chests! His character Dan, on Vegas had a few good shirtless scenes.
Like many actors in the 70's and 80's Robert blessed us with some speedo action by appearing on 'Battle Of The Network Stars'.
Robert in the shower just before his murder on 'Soap'.
Robert's only nude scene that I know of was in the 1982 flick Endangered Species. These are the only caps I could find on line and could not find the movie for download. If anyone has any better pics, please let me know. Thanks to the original cappers of these scenes!
