Summer of Samm by Jim Wilkinson Images

'When photographing a male figure, what grabs my attention is usually the model’s eyes, mouth and facial structure. What I try to capture is the model’s "soul": that unique combination of personality, heart and past experiences that makes each flesh and blood man a one-of-a-kind piece of art.'

On Thursday, I profiled the many secondary colors weaved within the work of photographer Jim Wilkinson. Today, I have one primary focus and it is zoomed directly towards Jim's images of the incredible Samm. Jim's images of Samm are beautifully engaging and he perfectly captures so many facets of Samm's personality, and in addition of course, his magnificent body.

Samm has a great look, a killer smile and an energy that lights up in front of Jim's lens. Not only do these images have the viewer physically attracted to Samm, they also bring about an emotional attraction as well. The unique combination of qualities Jim described, personality and heart in particular, have the viewer wanting to get to know the man beyond just what is seen, but also by what is felt. My feelings were confirmed after asking Jim to describe his work with Samm.

'I met Samm several years ago and we discussed a shoot at the time but it didn't work out. I recently reconnected with him and we set up a time to shoot. He's exactly the type of man I love to photograph: Great personality, award winning type smile, dancing eyes and a tight killer body. He literally has one of the top five best asses of anyone I've photographed in the last 15 years. And his front side below the belt is amazing as well.'

'This man has it all. So many times I meet great looking men but they turn out to be dull and so boring. Not so with Samm. He's a fun guy and so likable- which should be apparent to even the most casual observer looking at the images I shot of him. I'm looking forward to many more shoots with this man. He's going to do nothing but get better as he gains experience. And he's the type of man that you'd want for a friend... or more…'.
