'I truly love helping others achieve their visions. I'm a writer and photographer as well, and when you have an idea that just needs to be explored, there's nothing more frustrating than not being able to do it. Seeing the finished product of a well thought out idea is a great feeling. It's even better if the shots come out fantastic.'
I would be lying if I told you the reason I first noticed KC Chappo's images was because of his mind. But... it was a head shot from McKenzie James that had me clicking on his page to see more. KC indeed has a great look, his long lean frame and tight toned body are well suited for any type of clothing and of course... no clothing at all. What had me pause and really spend time with his imagery however was that face.
In almost every one of KC's images he was so beautifully contemplative. It came as no surprise KC is also an photographer and writer as you can feel his mind at work behind his magnetic brown eyes. Wise, thoughtful and instinctively reflective, there is almost a timeless quality to KC's look that photographs beautifully. Given his experience as a writer, I decided to throw the Toronto based model a few of my favorite FH questions.
What got you started with modeling?
'I've always been interested in art and photography. I started experimenting at around 19-20 years old with an old 35mm film camera I found in my parents basement. From there I started shooting everything, from cats, to people, to trees. That's when I thought I'd give being on the other end of the camera a try, and I fell in love with it. There's creating art, and then there's being the art. Creating is fun, but sometimes being apart of the creation is exciting and fun.'

What has been your favorite experience modeling thus far?
'So far I'd have to say that shooting with McKenzie James and another model called Brittany was a great experience. It was my first time shooting nude with another model. But it was great. Lighthearted, fun, and exhilarating. I'd also love to be apart of Mckenzie's 'Naked Sunday Project'.
What has been your experience with modeling and ModelMayhem been like? Any strange offers or stories?
'Not that I can think of off the top of my head. Most people have been professional when I've been shooting with them. I wish I had something more for this! Odd or strange stories are my favorite! But sadly, everything has gone pretty smoothly. MM is definitely an interesting site. I've had mostly good experiences meeting models and photographers through the site, but of course there have been some iffy requests. A lot of guys have messaged me asking for nude TFP, which is fine. But when I look at their profile, it looks like their using a cellphone camera. Just fishy. I also had one person comment that I shouldn't do nudes because my penis detracts from the photographs.'
What factors did you weigh before deciding to take it all off?
'Of course, what every guy thinks about, "what if everybody thinks I have a small penis?" and truth be told, that still runs through my mind. Being naked often means being vulnerable, and you're open to everybody's criticisms about your body. But at the end of the day I just figure, I'm the one brave enough to get naked and be captured forever on film or print, or the web. As well, everybody has faults with their body, I just don't care about mine! Besides, being naked is fun. :)'
What part of your body are you most happy with? What part gets the most attention from others?
'Ooh, a vanity question! :P I think I answered this partially before, but when being naked, I would say that the penis (or breasts, bum, vagina) gets the most attention. It's going to be the first thing somebody checks out when looking at a nude photograph. As for what I'm most happy with? It's a tough call, and not because I think everything is perfect. There was a time when I was proud of my abs, but that's hard to maintain. I like my jawline at times, I suppose. I'm not too sure, really. It's not something I've invested a lot of thought into.'
What would your dream scenario be for a shoot?
'Hmm, Another good question. I like the idea of outdoors, and whimsical fantasy style stuff. I like vibrant colours, too for contrast. I recently saw a casting for a Photographer who was looking for a water nymph for a fantasy shoot. I thought that was the coolest idea, and I really hope she achieves it. I suppose that's the nerd in me coming out. I also really like working with other models. Collaborating is a great time. You can talk about experiences and meet new people, which is always a bonus.'
New Zealand's Mike Edward began his entry into the acting world like so many others, through the high school musical. Mike quickly began landing parts on New Zealand television including playing a stripper in the 2003 aptly titled The Strip. With his incredible good looks and killer smile, Edward makes a splash whenever he's on screen. In the past while he's gotten a lot of attention for his penis, even though he's actually never shown it. In last years I Survived a Zombie Holocaust, even the sock couldn't contain Edward's sexual appeal. Although he was shown full frontal on TV's Spartacus, the impressive member Edward was sporting was sadly not his own, but a prosthetic. Both Scenes, full monty or not, are incredibly hot!
