Popped! Able by Richard Rothstein

'My world away from the world.'

I'm always amazed with how Richard Rothstein is able to capture such different feels, and such unique poses and shots with each individual model he shoots on the roof, his world away from the world.  Able seems to almost channel the strength and pride Richard feels about his roof top escape through his stance and poses.

Able appears to be drawing in the power of the city, meeting the sun and sky like a superhero, minus the spandex, leather and tights.  In some images he reminds me of Superman, standing guard over his metropolis.  In others, he resembles Spiderman as he scales the brick walls.

As you can see, the balloons are gone for this part of the shoot, but unlike the red rubber, Able certainly was't deflated, especially when Sergey joined the shoot. Sergey was also photographing Able, but couldn't resist stepping into his role as a model for a few shots at the end of the shoot.

Sergey puts down his camera for a few shots in front of the lens
