'As a folklorist finds an escaped convict on the brink of death, before long, a passionate love affair begins. Then, the sudden arrival of her daughter sparks a secret romance. Can the mother walk away from this dangerous forbidden love?'
The copy of Gymnoi sto hioni (Naked in the Snow) that I watched wasn't the greatest quality. It was an old VHS copy without subtitles that I found on-line. Even without hearing exactly what was said, the story was pretty easy to figure out. The movie begins with a distraught Eliza (Aimilia Ypsilanti) remembering shooting a naked man in the snow.
That naked man was of course Alexios, in the naked form of actor Christo Spyropoulos. The movie then flashes back telling the story of what led Alexios to be naked out in the snow, and why he was shot running away. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned!
