'There’s a level of trust and intimacy that’s even more valuable when society is against you, You keep your secrets together.
Matt Bomer
It's always exciting when two of your favorite actors are paired in a project, especially when they're as talented as Matt Bomer and Jonathan Baily. I love both Bomer and Baily and am really looking forward to seeing them together this fall in the Showtime 8 episode series Fellow Travelers.
'Created by Oscar-nominated writer Ron Nyswaner (Philadelphia), Fellow Travelers is a love story and political thriller, chronicling the volatile romance of two very different men who meet in the shadow of McCarthy-era Washington. '
'Bomer will play charismatic Hawkins Fuller, who maintains a financially rewarding, behind-the scenes career in politics. Hawkins avoids emotional entanglements – until he meets Tim Laughlin, a young man brimming with idealism and religious faith. They begin a romance just as Joseph McCarthy and Roy Cohn declare war on “subversives and sexual deviants,” initiating one of the darkest periods in 20th-century American history.'
We first got a sneak peak of Bomer and Bailey in the series last fall when Spashnews released images of the two co-stars filming a beach scene on Lake Ontario. The series was shot in Ontario, and areas around Toronto for close to six months at the end of last year. Two weeks ago, Showtime released the trailer. Although an exact airdate has not been confirmed, it's expected to air sometime this fall.
'The nuance of a complicated, volatile queer relationship is the power balance—and that is what is amazing about Tim and Hawk, Every single sex scene is a meticulous examination of power.'
Jonathan Bailey, Vanity Fair
