A Christmas Story: Cowboy Deluxe by Studio1x

'Just a single dad just trying to make my way through life.'

Every Christmas I spotlight a lot of holiday hunks.  Men, mostly from Hallmark Christmas movies.  Men with a heartwarming story facing obstacles at Christmas.  Well this, is a true Christmas heartwarming story, one I doubt Hallmark would sadly never tell.  Netflix maybe, but more likely Prime, Paramount Plus or HBO Max.

So many struggle financially, seems even more over the last several years.  Struggles to pay rent, heat and electricity.  That doesn't include all the other expenses like food, car payments and insurance.  Often there's not much left for extras.  Christmas is all about extras, especially extra expenses.  Financial stress is felt all year long, but no more so that at Christmas.

It's bad enough when it's just you, or you and a partner, but add children into the mix and it can be a depressing time of year.  Parents want to do the best for their children, and provide them with not just the essentials, but positive memories and experiences.  They want them to feel safe, to feel loved, and to feel special.  I can't imagine the stress of living pay cheque to pay cheque with a child.

I remember starting to think about gifts as soon as that Sears catalog arrive in late August or early September.  I went through those toy pages hundreds of times, circling items and making sure my parent knew exactly what I wanted.  I wasn't until years later, I realized how much stress that caused my parents.  It was only as an adult, that I truly appreciated all the sewing, babysitting and odd jobs my mother did to ensure we had gifts under the tree.  One year, when jobs were scarce, we even took in a student border for the year to make extra cash.

Randy, (Cowboy Deluxe) knows that stress too well.  As a single day, he sometimes juggles two and three jobs to ensure his son is well taken care off.  Still, even with multiple jobs, making a little extra to buy Christmas presents can still be a struggle.  That's where Santa Jim from Studio1x comes in.  As many FH readers know, for several years Jim shot original holiday content for the site.  After a move to a new city however, Jim had no studio space, or model contacts to continue shooting.  Not just for FH, but at all.

Earlier this year however, Jim started dipping his toe back into photography, and that's how he first met Randy.  Randy wasn't a model, nor had ever modeled before, but answered an add Jim had placed for a photographer's assistant.  Without a studio, Jim was trying out doing location shoots, which meant given he shoots nudes, mostly working outside in the woods.  Working in the woods, meant sometimes long walks to a secluded place to shoot, meaning lugging equipment along with him.  Although models were usually helpful, Jim didn't want to put that responsibility on them, so often hired a PA on his shoots.

Randy worked several times with Jim as a PA, and the two got to be friends.  On one shoot, after one of the two models he was shooting didn't show up, Jim suggested Randy step in.  Although reluctant at first, Randy gave it a shot, not modeling completely nude, but being the clothed male in a cmnm shoot.  This led to Jim and Randy planning a future shoot, this one with Randy being the only model, and this time, shooting completely nude.

Well, just like on Hallmark, obstacles arose....  The first time they planned a shoot, it was thwarted by Randy's a partner.  When she heard about the shoot, she thought she'd like to be included.  Instead of a full frontal Randy shoot, it turned into a PG rated couples boudoir shoot.  She and Randy.... are no longer together.

For the next planned shoot,  Jim and Randy made sure it was just the two of them.  They actually headed back into the woods, in the same spot Jim had shot in before, when Randy was assisting.  Just as Randy slipped off his underwear however, they  were interrupted by a very angry man who claimed they were on his property.  Jim found this hard to believe given they were far back in the woods on what appeared to be public land.  The man stormed off, swearing and threatening to call the police.

Jim and Randy shot for a few minutes, but decided maybe they better not take any chances.  That proved a smart move as when they walked back to Jim's car, Randy thankfully fully dressed, they were met by two police officers demanding to know what they were doing.  Jim managed to smooth talk his way out, but again, Randy's opportunity to model, again, had to be postponed.

We'll... as you can beautifully see, the forth attempt at a solo shoot did indeed happen, and was a total success.  Check out the final chapter of this Christmas story on the NEXT PAGE HERE:
