ANTERIOR: Positioned at or towards the front
Since I featured so many great posterior shots of Axie from photographer Andrew Bowman, it was time to focus on the front. 'Axie's front.' just didn't flow or me, so wanted to think of a better title. Sometimes I think I spent as much time thinking up titles for posts as I do on the actual post itself. For me, a title can set the tone, so it's important to get it right.
I do love me a clever alliteration, but in this case, wasn't sure there was an appropriate one. Although I have a University degree in Psychology, (and a minor in education) I wasn't really familiar with the term Anterior. I do remember hearing it, maybe back in school, but it's not a word I would have remembered without doing a little research.
It's interesting to me, that many of my favorite shots that Andrew took of Axie weren't standard front of back shots. Most of Andrew's shots, and Axie's poses, gave us delicious views of both within the same image. This series with Axie sliding off his yellow undies is a great example.
Andrew sent on a large number of shots from his work with Axie, and they covered many different looks and themes. In addition to the images shown, they also shot some hot shots of Axie in a leather jacket and sunglasses, and a series of sporty cricket themed images. I've saved some of them for later...
Axie shares he was fortunate to have had the opportunity to do a photoshoot with Andrew while he travelling through Europe in 2023. Axie had been competing in the International Gay and Lesbian Aquatic (IGLA) and managed to squeeze a photoshoot in during the competition.
'I had great fun shooting Alex. He ticked a couple of boxes that i don't often get the opportunity to shoot - blonde hair and a long foreskin. Also of course that great Aussie accent and quirky sense of humour. '
'I felt so comfortable with Andrew and enjoyed riffling through his props and outfits, getting covered in oil and water, and generally being cheeky. Loved all the results and hope we have the chance to work together again in the future.'
