High-Sticking: Adam Banks by TR Pics

When I started to put together my visual salute to hockey, and hot hockey players, I didn't plan on including an original shoot.  Then... yesterday when I was cruising TR Pics on Twitter, I noticed a couple of shots of the ultra hot and provocative player Adam Banks.  I quickly got in touch with Tom about seeing, and featuring more!

In hockey, high-sticking relates to the illegal action when player carries their stick above an opponent's shoulders and making contact.  When seen by the refs, a penalty for potential head/face injury usually occurs.  It can describe a player using their stick to cleverly hook or lift the puck to fake out opponents (a skill move), or even a defensive play to poke check an opponent's stick away, leading to a penalty if done too aggressively.

For this shoot, high-sticking was the first, and only hockey term that fit.  First off, in the first set of images, Adam's hockey stick is definitely being held high in his poses. Adam also loves and played hockey, so knows how to handle his stick.  When his hockey stick is lowered and played by his side, Adam's personal piece of equipment is also impressively high in the air.  Ok, maybe it's not shoulder level, but certainly awe-inspiring enough for an climatic power play.
