Sniff: Unwashed & Unashamed

'Provocative, visceral, and unapologetically queer, SNIFF is more than a magazine — it’s a movement. A tactile, visual rebellion inviting readers to step inside the world of artists who live, create, and lust without compromise.'

The Male Muse Publishing launches the new magazine SNIFF: a new frontier in queer art and fetish culture. SNIFF follows the format to Inspiró,, (which I previously featured HERE:) but exclusively focuses on mixing queer art with fetish themes SNIFF is a bold, subversive publication blurring the line between queer fine art and fetish culture. Conceived as a sanctuary for uncensored queer expression in a world still policed by censorship and conformity, SNIFF celebrates artists who work fearlessly in the erotic underground.

I never thought of myself as someone especially drawn to fetish or fetish culture, but the second I saw the cover and promo images for SNIFF, a pleasurable, but risky memory came to mind.  I was about 15, and hanging out with a group of guys at a friend's house.  I had a crush on the guy who lived there, but was still deep in the closet.  During a break in video game playing, I headed to the bathroom, passing the guy's room on the way.

I didn't plan it, I didn't even really think about it, but on the way back to the living room, I darted into his room and shut the door.  I reached into his clothes hamper, picked up a pair of his dirty underwear and shoved them hard into my face.  They smelled like heaven.  I quickly shoved them back into the hamper, and went back into the living room, positive I was bright red and that everyone would notice.

No one did of course, and I began thinking about returning to the room and taking those underwear home with me.  I didn't get the chance, that day at least, but I did eventually end up with a different pair of his worn undies a month or so later....

I guess I've always had a bit of fetish for the aroma of guys I liked.  I think it started with all those hours in the locker room when I played hockey.  The smell, even today, brings back memories and pleasure.  I think we all take risks when we're teens, and sexuality experimenting as figure out who we are.  So many of us sadly, stop taking risks, and chose safety over danger when we get older.  Fetish in many ways, is holding on to that sexual excitement that was so chancing, but thrilling.

Each issue of SNIFF features a curated blend of photography, painting, illustration, and other experimental modalities, revealing the raw and unfiltered beauty of desire in all its forms — from bondage and role play to fetish gear, sneakers, and the worship of feet.  Scent One, the debut issue, includes exclusive interviews with two unique voices in contemporary fetish culture: Spanish fetish photographer Abraham Saraya, and Master Bearded Koldo, a respected figure within leather and BDSM communities.

The issue also features three original pieces of queer erotica by author Lawrence Schimel and multi disciplinary artist J Davies, expanding SNIFF’s storytelling into intimate narrative and literary seduction.  SNIFF, Scent One has been released in both print and digital formats. The digital edition is expanded with over 100 additional images — content considered too explicit, too raw, or simply too hot for print, offering a deeper and wilder dive into the magazine’s erotic visual world.  You can check out and purchase the print issue HERE: and the expanded digital issue HERE:
