Pubs & Parades *~πŸ€~*

'There are only two kinds of people in the world, The Irish and those who wish they were.'

I think the quote above explains why so many of us, Irish or not, love to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  I'm not Irish, but I love the culture, the accent, the countries natural beauty, and the many wonderful people of Irish decent I've met over the years.

This post brings together many random images I've saved over the years, all with both the holiday theme, and a focus on the male form.  When looking at my folder, I noticed that so many St. Paddy's Day visuals I saved fell into two categories.  Parades and Pubs.

I know it's a bit clichΓ©d when it comes to March 17th, at least in America, the holiday seems to usually starts with parade, and ends at the pub.  For some, they skip the parade, and head straight to the pub.  Although stereotypical,  Most big cities have a St. Patrick's Day parade, and most cities, big or small, have an Irish pub.

Although not a requirement, those pubs often end in a y's.  Murphy's Pub, Molly's Tavern, Paddy's Bar, and of course The Killarney or the Blarney Stone.  My research indicates that in Ireland itself, the names of Pub's are more original, and much more cultural and interesting.  Some of my favorites include: Blakes of the Hollow, The Sky and the Ground, The Gravediggers, The Crosskeys and Moran’s Of Mornington.

I've spent many hours in my town's Irish pub, but not many on St. Paddy's Day.  I'm usually working.  I go frequently for Sunday brunch, and on Friday evening after work for Pan Fried Haddock or the loaded nachos.  Not exactly Irish stew or bangers (pork sausage) and mash, but when it comes to food, I'm a creature of habit.  They know me at the pub, they know all the regulars, and when I don't order the haddock or nachos, they're always surprised.

Whether your Irish or not, and whether you're attending a parade, heading to the pub, or like me, going to work, enjoy your day!

And... after a few dozen rounds of green beer, the clothes are bound to eventually come off.
