'I know most boys growing up in this country are into Little League or football, but for me, it was always soccer. I'm half Italian, half Spanish, so I guess it's in my blood. My family spent a lot of summers in Spain, and we played all the time. It's really a great workout, and it's also a little crazier than other sports. More off the wall--kinda like me!'
To support his passion for soccer, and his career as an artist, at the time of the shoot, Rizzo was working as a bartender in one of L.A's trendier nightspots. Although Rizzo says the club is often a zoo, he loved working there, and found it a great place to meet women, especially as friends.
'When you're a bartender, the women down you're not there to hit on them, you're there to work. Girls feel free to talk when there's a bar between you and them. I guess they don't have to worry that you're going to get too friendly too fast if you know what I mean...'
I'm not sure of Allan's sexual orientation, nor do I care, but that 'professionalism' is also a nice cover if you're more into paying with balls. The artist is a also a part-time fashion designer, and his rule of not dating customers, might just have come in handy from time to time. I'm guessing many women, and a few men, hit on him regardless of the bar between them. Allan was single when he was profiled in Playgirl, having sadly just recently broken up with his girlfriend.
'To keep my mind off my troubles, I go to museums a lot. As a matter of fact, I recently saw an exhibit of Picasso's work that left me practically speechless!'
