Christmas isn't the only holiday with a memorable night before... HALLOWEEN also has an eve with it's own traditions. October 30th, the night before Halloween is traditionally when babes, cuties and hotties, too old to trick or treat, pick up a light and head out into the darkness for a night of debauchery and mischief.
In addition to plenty of pleasure, there is also plenty of time for practical jokes, neighbourhood hijinks and sometimes even a little minor vandalism. So many people think these are Halloween night traditions, but in many places, HALLOWEEN is for treats, the night before, that's the time for tricks.
Depending on where you live, the festivities have different names. In New Jersey, Pennsylvania, as well as parts of the UK and Canada, the night is called Mischief night. In Detroit, and parts of the US Midwest, it's known as Devil's Night. In New England and New York it's called Cabbage Night. There, the tradition goes back even further to a time people used to toss skunk, or rotten cabbages at people's doors.
Although HALLOWEEN eve has gotten tamer over time, especially post-Covid, there was a time, (shock) many took it too far. A night intended for harmless pranks got out of control, with pranks that became destructive and dangerous. This led many communities to fight back, organizing anti-vandalism activities and events. They also renamed the night Angel's Night in the hopes of turning the focus in a more positive direction. As you can see from these shots, Dylan doesn't look to be causing any harm, maybe however just a little tantalizing trouble. If you're out tonight, maybe desiring some heated hijinks, look for the light.
