Give 'em pumpkin to talk about...

Marc Price in Trick or Treat

'You should be loyal to your heroes... they can turn on you.'
Sammi Curr

I don't think too many people watching Family Ties would have guessed Skippy Handelman would be featured in a kind of hot embarrassment themed nude scene in a heavy metal horror flick.  But... that's exactly what happened when actor Marc Price starred in Trick or Treat in 1986.

A bullied teenage boy is devastated after the death of his heavy metal idol, Sammi Curr. But as Hallowe'en night approaches, he discovers that he may be the only one who can stop Sammi from making a Satanic comeback from beyond the grave.

Price is perfect as high school outcast Eddie Weinbauer  and the horror comedy also features rockers  Gene Simmons and Ozzy Osbourne and actor Doug Savant, he rips of Eddie's towel before shutting him out of the locker room in the scene below.

Nuts & Bolts

'I am alone and miserable. Only someone as ugly as I am could love me.'
Mary Shelley, Frankenstein

I have yet to see the original Frankenstein, but after stumbling upon the image below of actor  Boris Karloff posing for sculptor Ivan Simpson, the monster...got into my brain.  It's interesting that although one of the themes of Frankenstein is ugliness and prejudice. Nearly every human character  assumes that the monster must be dangerous based only on its outward appearance.

Yet, so many of the monsters on screen, and the Dr. Frankenstein's that create them, are by standards, pretty hot.  Frankenstein's beauty may be hidden behind the nuts, bolts and scars, but some traits, cannot be masked.

Kenneth Branagh as Victor Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994)

Aaron Eckhart in I, Frankenstein (2014)

Penny Dreadful (2014-2015)

Harry Treadaway played Dr. Victor Frankenstein on Penny Dreadful, but Rory Kinnear (above) wasn't the only monster he created. In order to 'get it right', Victor tried and tried again, including bringing Proteus (Ale Price, below) back to life. didn't end well.

Jonny Lee Miller and Benedict Cumberbatch each played both roles, switching between The Creature and Victor Frankenstein in 2011's National Theatre Live: Frankenstein.

Horror Hunks: Massacre at Central High

'The Case of The Disappearing Danglers...'

Steve Bond

I first heard of the 1976 horror flick Massacre at Central High (aka Sexy Jeans) when working on an Actors & Skin piece on actor Andrew Stevens (HERE:)  In addition to the movies mystery of who was killing the high school trio of bullies, there was another mystery worthy of a call to the Hardy Boys who were solving crimes shortly after the films release.

The movie included several nude scenes from the female cast members, but there were also a couple of fairly tame nudity from the male cast members.  In the first version of the film I saw, there was a scene with Andrew Stevens having sex on the beach.  If you squint, you may or may not see a frontal flash.  There's also a night skinning dipping scene featuring the very talented and underrated actor Derrel Maury who plays David.

'When I brought the script home after being cast as David, I read it again and started to really focus on the story. It was then I became aware of this really interesting plot structure. It reminded a bit of Lord of the Flies. Here you've got these kids that are being repressed and when their oppressors are taken out, they start, one by one, filling their empty shoes, assuming the same human characteristics while jockeying for new social positions.'

So... what's the mystery.  and why was Steven Bond, who appeared naked in Playgirl both the year before, and the year after the film, not naked in the film.  The mystery involves what I think is a European cut of the film that includes much more explicit nude scenes of both the male and female scenes, including both rear and frontals from Craig, one of the bully's played by Bond.

In addition to Craig's nude scene, which occurs in a rather explicit and graphic rape scene,  Andrew Stevens' (Mark) beach scene is also extended, featuring more frontals.  There is also a threesome in a tent involving Robert Carradine (Revenge of the Nerds) and the oldest sister from Eight is Enough. (Lani O'Grady)

Problem is, the added nudity doesn't appear to be the credited actors, but soft porn clips edited in to spice up the the flick for a xxx rating overseas's.  The clip below includes Maury in the surf, Stevens on the beach and Bond in a speedo just before...well, let's just say there's a spoiler involved.

If anyone is interested in watching the European version, with the extra inserted nudity, it is available to be downloaded on Rarelust HERE:
