'Rick saw through my devious plan...'
Tom Nakielski from Lights On Studio is a professional. He's clear with his creative plan, and works hard to create a stress free environment where models feel comfortable. Tom spends hours planning his shot lists, always with the goal to highlight the best features of the model's he shoots and always wants them pleased and satisfied with the experience, and the results.
Tom respects his models wishes and stipulations, and always follows through with his promises and commitments. He likes to play by the rules set. That doesn't mean however... that Tom doesn't try from time to time, to push the boundaries, just a little during his shoots. Although Rick's penis was not to be shown, Tom thought he might have a creative solution. A way to at least capture a peak, even if just of the shape, form or outline.
'So.... I thought that if I gave Rick a semi-sheer bathing suit that would be a way around the frontal nude issue. Rick saw through my devious plan and put on a black opaque bathing suit. Foiled again. Oh well, it was worth a try. '
Tom really didn't want to push, he'd had the benefit of having Terry join them for the first part of the shoot, a pleasant surprise that he didn't plan for or expect. After Rick tossed the semi-sheer aside and slid on his black bathing suit, they got to work creating for the next couple of hours.
The final part of the session at the pool was with Rick getting into the water. I did not realize that it was early in the season and the water was COLD. Rick did some poses and then did some laps in the pool. After a few laps he mentioned he was freezing. When he got out of the pool his whole body was trembling out of control. He was a real trooper for the whole session.
In the end, Tom was happy with the shot they got, and Rick was also really excited about the results, and his work with Tom. So much so, they wanted to continue the fun, and working together. Since they were in California, Rick suggested that he and Tom head to Joshua Tree National Park and continue their creative collaboration. Hopefully Tom will also share those shots in the future.
I do wish Rick had gotten back to Tom, not so much to ok a penis reveal, but because I wanted to ask him about his tattoo. The beautiful artwork on Rick's upper chest looks to be the same design the characters wore on the television show Supernatural. I wasn't a huge watcher of the show, but do know the design was an 'anti-possession' symbol, something to keep the aliens away. Curious what Rick was trying to keep at bay, besides of course, pesky penis photographers...
