'Are you excited Daddy? '
I've haven't always been a big fan of most of Tyler Perry projects, but I am a fan of juicy dramas, especially ones with a cast of incredibly hot men. After seeing some of the recent promotional shots for season 2 of Beauty in Black, I decided to give it a shot. Of course I also saw some caps from the nude scenes from season 1 on Dreamcap, which helped seal the deal.
The series premiered on Netflix last year, and season 2 began early this month. So far, I've caught the first five episodes of the first season. The show spotlights Kimmie and Mallory, two women leading very different lives. Kimmie a sex trafficking victim, is forced to work at Delinda's Dolls and Dudes, a strip club in Chicago. Although all the men on show are hot, my favorite so far is Angel, played by actor Xavier Smalls.
Angel is the tritagonist on the show, and isn't exactly an Angel. He works as a hustler and stripper with Kimmie at the club. Angel quickly gets pulled in the orbit of the Bellarie family, including family patriarch Horace. Initially, Angel was only going to rob Horace, but Horace is not surprisingly, attracted to the young hustler and stud.
If you check out the clip, (thanks to espeon88 from DC) thing don't go so smoothly during Horace and Angel's first intimate encounter. There's a bit of a hiccup, (make that a bloody cough) The cough is due to Horace undergoing experimental cancer therapy.
Smalls is a talented actor and certainly more than just a pretty face with an incredibly body! Smalls graduated with a theatre degree from Sacramento State in 2020. Last year he was spotted and cast Tyler Perry in Madea's Destination Wedding. This led to his later casting of Angel in Beauty in Black.
