Some FH readers might remember, that as part of my battle with insomnia, I often utilize a sit-com remedy to help drift off. I put on a sit-com, something light, and something I don't really need to pay too much attention to. It can be a repeat of a favorite show, (like Everybody Loves Raymond , Seinfeld or Shitt's Creek) or something new, like How I Met Your Mother.
I didn't watch even a second of How I Met Your Mother when it first aired, maybe in part, due to my feelings towards Neil Patrick Harris. I've put that aside though, as the show is watchable, not overly, but it meets the sleep-aid requirement. There are a few outstanding episodes that had me laughing, but I'm not a fan of all the time shifting crap, and certainly not a fan of Barney with Robin.
Last week I watched the season 4 episode Mosbius Designs. In the episode, Ted is starting his own design firm from home, including hiring an personal assistant. PF, the assistant, was played by the adorable Ryan Sypek. I recognized his face right away due to the many appearance Sypek made on television in the 2000's and 2010's.
Sypek is probably best known for his regular role on the ABC Family drama Wildfire for three seasons. This was also the show that gave Sypek his share of shirtless scenes. He also ends up shirtless on How I Met Your Mother after ending up in bed with Robin.
Sypek seems to have mostly retired from acting, and seems to now have a thriving real estate career. He still pops up from time to time on television, most recently in a small role in a 2024 Christmas movie. One of the many recognizable faces, and crush worthy hotties who came in and out of screens for short time, but a memorable one!
