Lights, Camera, Seduction: Yaikel by Bob Burkhardt

' I love to seduce the camera.'

When it comes to images of the nude male form, vulnerability is one of the elements I usually enjoy.  Some models, especially those without a lot of experience, may be nervous modeling nude, especially for the first time..  At times, it can almost feel as if they're trying to hide from the camera. Although timidly can  be erotic, hiding generally is not.

On the flip side, it's also incredibly hot when an experienced model takes charge.  Not over the direction of the shoot, but over their relationship with the camera.  Instead of cowering with each click, experienced models know to take control, interacting with the camera lens.  They understand the lens represents the viewer, and the audience the images are being created for.

Many models do this through their eyes, others, like Yaikel Ordaz connects with the camera with every inch of his hot sculpted body.  When photographer Bob Burkhart shared his work with Yaikel, I could immedeately the sensual relationship between Yaikel with Bob's lens.  As someone with a passion for photography himself,  one of the reasons Yaikel enjoys modeling is because of relationships.  The relationship he forms both with the camera, and the creative relationship with the artist behind the lens.

It was one of Yaikel's friends who first introduced him to Bob's work.  The friend sent him on a link to Bob's Instagram an suggested he take a look.   Yaikel quickly dove into Bob's portfolio and loved what he saw.  It wasn't long before  Yaikel and Bob were sharing comments on each other's work and before long, they began discussing a creative collaboration.

'Yaikel's been shooting for approximately 22 years. He has a lot of experience and it was evident in his work.  I wasn't sure how much experience he had posing nude , but he told me he would be open to posing nude with me'

Did Yaikel express any boundaries, or anything he didn't want to shoot?
Bob: He didn’t express any boundaries. Honestly, we went to work right away. He knew how he wanted to be seen. We both wanted something sexy and provocative.

Was he comfortable with the nudity?
Bob: He was very comfortable being nude. He knew his body and how to express himself. -Was he easy to work with, take direction well? He was very easy to work with. He required a little direction. He only asked me to be patient with him as he didn’t speak a lot of English.

'The photo shoot with Bob was quite honestly just amazing. I had a lot of fun and the truth is I felt very comfortable working with him. I think some of my favorite photos were the wall photos.  I just really loved the shots Bob took of me, in part because of how much fun we had taking them.'

Yaikel is really a man with diverse interests and passions.  His education was focused on Economics and International Trade, but his passions lay more with the nature, the environment and the arts.  In addition to modeling, Yaikel is also a dancer, which clearly, has helped sculpt his incredible body.  Yaikel also loves unique lingerie.  Bob shares that Yaikel brought along an extensive wardrobe, which as you can see, they incorporated into the shoot.  I love the look of Yaikel's skin, and his muscled physique contrasted with the vibrant colors of the skirts.

'Given the language barrier, one of the most interesting thing that happened in the shoot was that Yaikel called a friend to join us who ended up acting as an interpreter. And it turned out. It was someone I have known for some time. It was a surprise when he turned up, though, as Yaikel didn’t tell me he was coming.  I loved everything about the shoot. He was easy, professional, creative and so well prepared.'
