Drawing on Japanese folklore, ghost stories and dream narratives, artist Luke Hardy presents a new selection of photographs at Photo Sydney 2026. The presentation brings together works from the ongoing FOXFIRES, SHADOWINGS and THE WAKING DREAM series, including the exhibition premiere of Kitsune-bi/Foxfires #20.
Working between photography and collage, Luke Hardy constructs layered images that explore memory, transformation and the space between waking and dreaming. Inspired by Japanese visual culture and storytelling traditions, the works blur the boundaries between the real and the imagined.
