Some of you may remember that I was on a bit of a Friends kick in the fall, watching several episodes over the course of a few weeks.  It led me to do posts on both series star Matt LeBlanc, (HERE:) and guest star Michael Vartan. (HERE:) Another guest star on the sit-com motivated a post, one I finished a few months but put aside when I started my holiday themed posts. 

In The One With The Ballroom Dancing (S04E04) actor Jason Brooks plays Rick, a massage client that gets Phoebe in trouble.  It's not wonder Phoebe lost control, I'm sure many of us would be tempted to do what Phoebe did if Jason Brooks was on a table naked in front of us.

As soon as Jason appeared on the show I knew that I knew who he was.  I never watched Baywatch however, or Days of our Lives when Brooks was on, but was still familiar with his handsome face from magazines and commercials, and his appearance in Playgirl.

Pretty damned cute if you ask me!  Over the last week or so, many stations have played Thanksgiving marathons.  Given Friends did Thanksgiving episodes 9 out of their 10 seasons (they skipped season 2) it's the perfect sit-com for a marathon.  The show also often had big name guest stars on their holiday episodes, including Brad Pitt, who once joined the show for Turkey and stuffing  Last week, I caught a few episodes on TBS. 

In the 1997 season 4 episode, The One With Chandler In A Box, one of the guest stars was actor Michael Vartan.  Now Vartan wasn't a big star in 1997, this was before Alias made it's debut four years later.  Vartan played Dr. Tim Burke, the eye doctor on-call when Monica has an eye emergency.  Tim ends up being the son of Richard Burke, (Tom Selleck) Monica's former boyfriend. 

I'd almost forgotten how adorable Michael Vartan was and is.  I like many, I first discovered the actor on Alias,  and have followed his career since.  It's fascinating to me the trajectory of Vartan and his Alias co-star Bradley Cooper.  Vartan appeared to be much more popular on the show, yet seems to have struggled a bit to get high profile roles after the series went off the air.

I like Cooper, but when I watched Alias, it was all about Vartan's Michael Vaughn for me.  Vartan did appear in a few hit films like Monster In-Law with Jane Fonda and Jennifer Lopez and in the creepy One Hour Photo with Robin Williams.  One Hour Photo is also known for the scene featuring Vartan's full frontal.  That had me wondering if he had any other on-screen nudity...  Well, no other full frontals, but he did have two other butt scenes in films in 1992 and 2011. Michael Vartan: Actors & SKIN

Although I was familiar with Vartan's nude scene in One Hour Photo, I had no idea about the two others.  I'd never heard of  the 1992 French film Promenades d'été.  I searched everywhere for a copy with no luck.  Then.. I went to the place I should have started, xyzpdq's Scenes of Male Skin.  Vartan was 24 in one of his earliest on-screen roles.

The Co-Star Cougar:

Cougars aren't a new phenomenon, especially in Hollywood, whenever there is money, and young cubs in search of fame, cougars will be on the prowl. An excellent stalk-and-ambush predator, the cougar pursues a wide variety of prey. Ever since cub Kutcher was caged and captured, cougars have gained the unfair reputation of stalking cubs much younger than themselves, but there is a new breed of cougar making waves in Hollywood, and age is is not a factor in their choice of prey. The Co-star cougar is caging men left and right, using and riding their fame until they find an even bigger cub to mount. The co-star cougar starts by caging their television co-stars, sometime making their way through the entire cast. Television cubs however are not the ultimate bounty, as you can clearly see from the examples below, most Co-Star cougars ultimately are looking for a target from the big screen as the last catch.
