We'll Always Have Paris...

'Being a father is a huge responsibility but a satisfying one. My family is my sanctuary.'
Pierce Brosnan

Like a fine wine, Pierce Brosnan only gets tastier with age.  I wasn't a huge fan of Brosnan when I was younger, and have yet to see him as Bond.  But in the past decade or so, I've caught some of the Irish actors films on TV. Brosnan's roles in movies like The Thomas Crown Affair, and especially his supporting roles in movies like Mrs. Doubtfire and Mamma Mia finally ignited my crush.

I'm sure like myself, many of you took note of Brosnan's two sons at the Golden Globes earlier this year.  Dylan (23) and Paris (18) acted as ambassadors at the ceremony this past January. Both brothers were honored to have the responsibility, and the platform to raise awareness for causes they're both passionate about.  Both Dylan and Paris have been politically active since childhood and used the opportunity to support FEED, an organization combating childhood hunger.

Except for the odd magazine shot when they were young, I hadn't seen images of the brothers until the award show.  Upon first glance, I assumed Dylan might be a model or in the arts, but really had no idea what either brother might be doing career wise.

Both Dylan and Paris have modeled, with the 6’3″ Dylan taking the lead after he was discovered by Saint Laurent creative director and photographer Hedi Slimane at a coffee shop in Malibu.  Not sure if Slimane was aware who his famous father was...  Dylan is also a singer and a student at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts.

Younger brother Paris is also a models, having walked the runway for shows for Balmain, Moschino, Ralph Lauren, and Dolce & Gabbana.  The 6’1″ Paris is also a filmmaker and in 2018 made a short film, 'Your Voice Matters' encouraging young people to register and vote.  Last year, using his passion for fighting childhood hunger, the 18 year old made a documentary about the hunger crisis in Sri Lanka as part of the work being done by the United Nations World Food Programme. Paris is also a freshman at Loyola Marymount University..
