'Shocking... disturbing... The movie they tried to ban.'
Regular readers of FH may remember that I featured the Christmas horror flick Silent Night, Deadly Night once before. That was a few years ago, when I'd only seen the flick on DVD. But... given the 3-disc 4K UHD + Blu-Ray set was released just this month, I knew it was time for another look back at the murdering Santa flick.
Like so many it seems, especially recently on-line, I'm not normally drawn to real-life actual killers. Even if their hot, (and he is) call me crazy, but murder and violence for me, is a turn off. That doesn't mean however, that I'm not drawn to fictional killers, especially really ones, played by actors in horror flicks I enjoy.
I think actor Robert Brian Wilson was one of the hottest young actors to don the fur, velvet and black leather on screen. Silent Night, Deadly Night marked his professional acting debut, and although brand new to films, his turn as damaged 18 year old Billy was memorable and helped the film become a cult classic.
