A Look Back: The Best of Michael Biehn





One of the things I think separates FH from some other blogs is my not just posting about the latest hot guy or thing, but also by taking a look back to the past. As someone whose teen years were in the 80's I know that for many of us, our taste in those we love begins at an early age. I find it interesting to look at some of the men we admire and love who helped form who we are today. That is why FH has several categories of posts from 'Blast From The Past' and 'flashback'. Although I don't make these posts as often as I used to, they remain some of my favorites.



One of the guys who motivated my look back was actor Michael Biehn. Michael has been a part of my motion picture viewing from as long as I can remember. From big budget flicks like Terminator and The Abyss to lower budget flicks like The Fan (so bad that it is so good, not to mention fun). Michael also was one of the first men I saw on screen baring his beautiful backside. As you can see from these early posts from 2007 & 2008 when I first began FH, I was long on picture posting and short on writing. That being said, it is always a good day to take a look back at the beautiful and talented actor Michael Biehn.

I had these caps by Alberto (thanks Alberto!) of Michael from his rarely seen film 'The Martyrdom of Saint Sabastian. thought I should finally post them.

Favorite 'Should be a superstar' Michael Biehn

Actor Michael Biehn should be a superstar. Sure he works steadily and is successful but with his great looks and great acting chops he should have been huge. Love him anyway.

My first post on actor Michael Biehn was back in 2007, the title was Favorite Actor who should be a Superstar. Since then, every year or two I resurrect the post and images as Michael is an actor who deserves the attention and one fans have let slip under the radar. Hollywood must understands his appeal, he has appeared in many of the top grossing movies over the past three decades, but somehow the public didn't catch up, or maybe on. Far more talented than many who got more attention (Cage & Cruise to name just two) and one of the hottest actors of all time. Great body (which he showed off often on film), great face and a killer grin. Although he was in the right movies, maybe he never hit just the right role to connect with a large audience.



Biehn is probably not that upset, maybe just the opposite. Constant work, great movies, all without the hassle of the pressure of being too too famous. My favorite Biehn movies include Aliens, Terminator, The Seventh Sign, and the oh so bad it's great, The Fan.



His list of movies also includes Grease (in an uncredited role), The Abyss, K2, Navy Seals, Tombstone and dozens and dozens of other movie and television appearances.

Archives: Blast From The Past

When I started FH, one of my goals was to only featured some of today's hottest and most talented hunks, but also feature men who impacted my, and others in the past.  So many sites are all about the men of the moment, the current and hottest bodies and moments.  As we all know however, it's hard to stay front burner for too long, at least not without burning out.


Blast From The Past began as my way of spotlighting some of the models, actors and singers who I grew u with.  It soon became so much more.   Although I had connections with many of the men that I featured, I also included actors who I discovered later in life.  There are many actors, who I either didn't like or didn't notice that I looked at differently when I got older.  


When I was a kid, I remember thinking that Tom Selleck was sort of 'gross'.  He seemed old, and I hated his moustache, and how hairy he was.  Then... when I hit my thirties, I started looking back on all those shirtless shots of Selleck with a different perspective...   There are also several classic stars from the 40's, 50's and 60's that I never heard of when I was a kid.  Thanks To TCM, I quickly began crushing over actors, many of whom are in their 80's, 90's or no longer with us at all.


This list includes most of those actors, performers, singers and models that I've blasted back to the past with.  I say most, as there are many former heart throbs who showed up in my birthdays or movie section that I have yet to include.  I hope to add them in once I have time to fully research the blog, but this list is a pretty good beginning.   Looking back at some of the posts, especially those from the site's early days, I realize many need an update.  Some were done before I had the ability to cap and create images on my own, and before learning how enlarge an image.  Hoping to update a few of my favorites soon.
