Bruce Boxleitner in Sixpack Annie

For some reason, I wasn't a huge fan of actor Bruce Boxleitner when I was growing up. I remember him on television when I was a kid, but like Tom Selleck, Don Johnson and so many other eighties hunks, my appreciation for their 'talents' only emerged when I got older. 


In the case of Boxleitner, it arose when seeing his beefy behind in clips from two of films.  We saw Bruce's backside in 1992's Double Jeopardy and here, in his feature film debut in 1975's Sixpack Annie.  I was reminded of Boxleitner's booty when I saw my old Actors and Skin feature when I recently used my 2017 May 11th posts for the site's flashback.


I noticed however, that the video was missing as Youtube deleted my account due to my pesky posting of male nude scenes from movies.  Since then, I've been directly uploading them to the blog so they don't disappear as so many of the old videos had.  Since I was uploading a new clip,  I thought I add some more caps.

When the small town sheriff demands Bruce's character get out of the water, 'Bobby Joe' shyly decides he'll walk out backwards covering his goods.  Like myself, the sheriff didn't seem to mind getting a rear view.  You can download the clip on SendSpace HERE:

Bruce Boxleitner: Actors & Skin


I hadn't intended to do an Actors & Skin post on actor Bruce Boxleitner, but when I saw he has only done two, thought I would do a mini-one given it's his birthday. I remember watching Scarecrow & Mrs. King a little with my mother, but I mostly knew Bruce from celebrity magazines and TV guest shots until a few years ago. Back in 2014, when doing a post on actor Timothy Bottoms, I purchased the 1981 television mini-series version of East of Eden. Although very distant than the film version, Jane Seymour was quite good and Timothy and Bruce were quite hot.


Whenever I do a birthday post, the first thing I usually do is see if the actor I am featuring has nude scenes. I knew of, and included, a few old caps from his 1992 butt scene in Double Jeopardy in some older posts, but thought they needed an update. I didn't know, that Bruce had done another butt scene, 17 years earlier when Bruce was 25. I had not seen images, or clips from this film before. In 1975's Sixpack Annie, Bruce and his girlfriend are caught skinny dipping by the local sheriff. The sheriff, being the wise, and dirty ole man that he seems, insists Bruce get out of the water, as he stands on the shore and watches.

A Vintage Vantage: Bruce Boxleitner


Actor Bruce Boxleitner never quite hit the same degree of fame as his contemporaries like Tom Selleck but he had a certain appeal.... I saved the image of Bruce in his speedo below to use for Bruce's birthday post, but just discovered I missed his 64th which he celebrated on March 12th. Archives: Blast From The Past

When I started FH, one of my goals was to only featured some of today's hottest and most talented hunks, but also feature men who impacted my, and others in the past.  So many sites are all about the men of the moment, the current and hottest bodies and moments.  As we all know however, it's hard to stay front burner for too long, at least not without burning out.


Blast From The Past began as my way of spotlighting some of the models, actors and singers who I grew u with.  It soon became so much more.   Although I had connections with many of the men that I featured, I also included actors who I discovered later in life.  There are many actors, who I either didn't like or didn't notice that I looked at differently when I got older.  


When I was a kid, I remember thinking that Tom Selleck was sort of 'gross'.  He seemed old, and I hated his moustache, and how hairy he was.  Then... when I hit my thirties, I started looking back on all those shirtless shots of Selleck with a different perspective...   There are also several classic stars from the 40's, 50's and 60's that I never heard of when I was a kid.  Thanks To TCM, I quickly began crushing over actors, many of whom are in their 80's, 90's or no longer with us at all.


This list includes most of those actors, performers, singers and models that I've blasted back to the past with.  I say most, as there are many former heart throbs who showed up in my birthdays or movie section that I have yet to include.  I hope to add them in once I have time to fully research the blog, but this list is a pretty good beginning.   Looking back at some of the posts, especially those from the site's early days, I realize many need an update.  Some were done before I had the ability to cap and create images on my own, and before learning how enlarge an image.  Hoping to update a few of my favorites soon.

Who Dat?


In August I did my first Who Dat? post, profiling actor Steve Burns. I discovered Steve after purchasing a box of magazines at a flea market and at the bottom were several Tiger and Teen Beat magazines from the 70's. Like Steve Burns, I had never heard of actor William Kirby Cullen until seeing his pin-up (last image below) in an issue of Teen Beat. Before recycling the stash of magazines, I scanned a few images of some of the pin-ups that caught my eye.


At first glance, I thought William might have been actor Kevin Tighe. I had seen a few old episodes of Emergency, and William reminded me a bit of Kevin. William Kirby Cullen worked in Hollywood from the early 70's through the mid 80's with his final roles being guest spots on Airwolf, Highway to Heaven and the horror flick Blood Song.

During his time gracing the pages of teen magazines, William had roles on One Day At A Time, Eight Is Enough, Barnaby Jones, Room 222, S.W.A.T and most notably playing Josh along side Bruce Boxleitner in the 70's western mini series, How The West Was Won. My search did not come up with much info on William, most was related to his role on One Day At A Time. If anyone knows what he is up to today, or if he is still acting in any capacity, would be interested to hear!
