Hot Suits:

After being reminded by the Still The Place Podcast that William (Billy) R. Moses was on Melrose Place,  I checked out a few episodes.  I not only forgotten he'd been on the show, I also forgot his character Keith turned out to be a psychopath.  So many of the male guest stars on the show ended up being stalkers, killers or psychopaths.  In the 1990's, female characters it seems, were often written as victim.  It seemed the 'go to' move for writers on many shows, including Melrose Place.

I've posted about Billy before, but I'd been planning on another one after scrolling into the US magazine cover above.  As many FH know, I've been taking a closer look at those old 'hot suit' issues of the magazine, featuring some of televisions hottest hunks, often in tight speedos.  I didn't realize Billy had been apart of the swimsuit series until noticing his small image next to Suzanne Somers on the cover.

Billy posed with actress Lindsay Bloom, an actress I'd never heard of before. I checked her IMDB and she was busy working on many television shows in the 1980's.  Unfortunately, Moses bucked the trend of the previous hot suit pieces I did, by sadly not donning a speedo.  All of the shots from the shoot I could find featured Billy only in board shorts.

Billy is one of those actors I always thought should have been a bigger star.  After his turn on TV, and in Mystic Pizza, I thought a film career was in front of him.  He was successful for sure, appearing regularly on television and the occasional film throughout his over 40 year career.   Sadly, he never really got that big break or that breakout role.

I don't think any of the actors who appeared on the big Prime Time Soaps of the 1980's really made it big.  The exception being Alec Baldwin who spent a short time on Knots Landing.  Unlike Billy however, Alec doesn't seem as connected to Knots as Billy and others are to their nighttime soap roles.  Maybe because he wasn't on as long, or maybe it's just about timing and luck.

Sadly, Moses also never did an on-screen nude scene.  He's still hot, so maybe there's still a chance, it wouldn't be the first time an actor did their first nude scene after the age of 60.  Although he didn't wear a speedo for US Magazine, he did give us plenty of speedo views during his multiple appearance on Battle of the Network stars.  My series hasn't quite gotten to the point when Billy was on, but still, had to add a few.

Hot Suits:

Over the last few years, I've tried to find images, outtakes and behind the scenes shots of all the hot hunks who posed for US Magazine's hot suit issues.  Last year, I thought I found them all, but thanks to some blog readers, a few more have popped.

This series featured the ultra hot Adrian Zmed, posing with actress Rebecca Holden. I wasn't sure who Holden was, but a little research tells me she was a cast member on Knight Rider during the time of this shoot.  I believe Adrian and Holden appeared in the January 1984 issue which featured actor Jon-Erik Hexum on the cover. HERE:

Hot Suits:

I was little young to watch TJ Hooker when it first aired, but I do remember my dad watching on Saturday nights.  I did catch up with a few episodes when it was repeated in the 90's, and although Adrian was hot, the show didn't really appeal to me to find more episodes, or purchase the DVD.

I know Adrian mostly from images in old TV and movie magazines.  He often posted shirtless or in speedos.  I also got to know him when I finally watched Grease 2, and in my research for the old  Battle of the Network Stars shows.  I think these are some of the hottest outtakes from the magazine's swimsuit issues, as Zmed didn't seem to have issue slipping in and out of speedos in a variety of colors.

Hot Suits:

Earlier this year, I featured actor Bruce Penhall (CHiPS) , in his bulging baby blue speedos. (HERE:) The shots were from his appearance in the hot suits issues from US Magazine in the 1980's. I'd previously posted images and outtakes of other celebrities from the swimsuit issues and once again... thought I'd reached the end when posted the shots of Bruce.

Then... I found a couple more.  This series, features Cagney & Lacey stud Martin Kove, who appeared in the January 1985 swimsuit issue of US.  No stranger to showing a little skin, I've previously featured Martin before on the site, as an actor, (HERE:) and his on-screen nude scenes, including a full frontal, on FH HERE:

Although I think I'm near the end of the US hot suits hotties, I have one or two that I still need to do a little more research on.  In the meantime, enjoy Martin, and his 1980's  hot suit shoot with Night Court's Markie Post.

Archives: Blast From The Past

Peter Barton

When I started FH, one of my goals was to only featured some of today's hottest and most talented hunks, but also feature men who impacted my, and others in the past.  So many sites are all about the men of the moment, the current and hottest bodies and moments.  As we all know however, it's hard to stay front burner for too long, at least not without burning out.

Blast From The Past began as my way of spotlighting some of the models, actors and singers who I grew u with.  It soon became so much more.   Although I had connections with many of the men that I featured, I also included actors who I discovered later in life.  There are many actors, who I either didn't like or didn't notice that I looked at differently when I got older.

When I was a kid, I remember thinking that Tom Selleck was sort of 'gross'.  He seemed old, and I hated his moustache, and how hairy he was.  Then... when I hit my thirties, I started looking back on all those shirtless shots of Selleck with a different perspective...   There are also several classic stars from the 40's, 50's and 60's that I never heard of when I was a kid.  Thanks To TCM, I quickly began crushing over actors, many of whom are in their 80's, 90's or no longer with us at all.

This list includes most of those actors, performers, singers and models that I've blasted back to the past with.  I say most, as there are many former heart throbs who showed up in my birthdays or movie section that I have yet to include.  I hope to add them in once I have time to fully research the blog, but this list is a pretty good beginning.   Looking back at some of the posts, especially those from the site's early days, I realize many need an update.  Some were done before I had the ability to cap and create images on my own, and before learning how enlarge an image.  Hoping to update a few of my favorites soon.
