Matt Barr: ACTORS & Skin

Although actor Matt Barr had consistent roles on television through most of the early 2000's, like so many lovers of the male form, I first discovered him thanks to a nude scene.  Caps and clips from 2007's Ten Inch Hero were all over the net, at the time.  In part, because Matt's character Brad, attempted a failed threesome with buddy Tadd. (Sean Wing).

Walker: Independence

I've seen a few of his projects since, including his role in the 2012 mini-series Hatfields & McCoys and his recent turn on the Paramount+ series, Blood & Treasure.   I haven't watched much on The CW of late, I really only watched Riverdale and pretty much abandoned watching that about two seasons ago. I wasn't aware then that Barr has now become a CW superstar, most recently starring in the new series, Walker: Independence.

Walker (2021)

As much I love (lust) Barr, I'm not sure I can follow him to the CW.  I'm not a big fan of the genre, and CW is cancelling it's shows like crazy.  If it does get a season two however, I may have to give it try.  This post was actually inspired by a gif from the show by poster bgebgd from Dreamcap, and Barr looks as delicious as ever.

Hatfields & McCoys (2021)

Dramatization of the bitter blood feud between the two families on the West Virginia/Kentucky border in the years after the Civil War.

Barr co-starred with a bevy of Hollywood hunks, Kevin Costner, Bill Paxton and Tom Berenger in the 2012 mini-series.  Although it aired on the History Network there was a very, VERY, dark skinning dipping scene worth a quick look.  Although I am not a huge fan of westerns, Barr's rugged good looks really fit well in the wild wild west.

If you want to see more of Barr, and Barr's beautiful butt, you can check out his other two butt baring scenes on the second part of my Actors & Skin feature on the NEXT PAGE HERE:

Archives: Blast From The Past

Peter Barton

When I started FH, one of my goals was to only featured some of today's hottest and most talented hunks, but also feature men who impacted my, and others in the past.  So many sites are all about the men of the moment, the current and hottest bodies and moments.  As we all know however, it's hard to stay front burner for too long, at least not without burning out.

Blast From The Past began as my way of spotlighting some of the models, actors and singers who I grew u with.  It soon became so much more.   Although I had connections with many of the men that I featured, I also included actors who I discovered later in life.  There are many actors, who I either didn't like or didn't notice that I looked at differently when I got older.

When I was a kid, I remember thinking that Tom Selleck was sort of 'gross'.  He seemed old, and I hated his moustache, and how hairy he was.  Then... when I hit my thirties, I started looking back on all those shirtless shots of Selleck with a different perspective...   There are also several classic stars from the 40's, 50's and 60's that I never heard of when I was a kid.  Thanks To TCM, I quickly began crushing over actors, many of whom are in their 80's, 90's or no longer with us at all.

This list includes most of those actors, performers, singers and models that I've blasted back to the past with.  I say most, as there are many former heart throbs who showed up in my birthdays or movie section that I have yet to include.  I hope to add them in once I have time to fully research the blog, but this list is a pretty good beginning.   Looking back at some of the posts, especially those from the site's early days, I realize many need an update.  Some were done before I had the ability to cap and create images on my own, and before learning how enlarge an image.  Hoping to update a few of my favorites soon.

1991: Actors & SKIN

Viggo Mortensen in Indian Runner

If you grew up in the 90's, you most like saw some of writer and director Peter Greenaway's films.  I never any of them in the theatres, but they often seemed to rotate on late night cinema on TV.  I remember being frustrated by the nudity, and they were fast forward scenes for sure.  There was often a lot of full frontals, from extra's, but the scenes were quick and full of dance and movement, and hard to really get into.  Occasionally, like the scene below with actor Mark Rylance, the scene was focused enough to get a decent view.

Prospero's Books

Tom Berenger, At Play In The Fields of the Lord

Julian Sands in Sons And Lovers

I Knew whenever I hit Blockbuster, that if Julian Sands was in a movie, there was a decent chance there would be nudity.  I'd forgotten about renting (on VHS) Husbands And Lovers until searching for films for this piece.    Sands had several frontals in the movie, and this films deserves a decent Blu-ray release.

Backdraft

It was only a few seconds, but man, William Baldwin and Jason Gedrick's shower scene was the highlight of Backdraft.  Those few seconds ertainly packed a hot punch and made an impact.

Sleeping With The Enemy

Of course I hated Patrick Bergin's character n Sleeping With The Enemy.  It didn't stop me however, from renting the flick, even after seeing it in the theatre, just to get another look at Bergin's brief butt scene.

Close My Eyes

Close My Eyes is the only film included that I didn't actually see back in the 90's.  I didn't watch the Clive Owen led drama until a few years ago.  Owen was so beautiful in the film, and he showed off his incredible body in a couple of scenes.

Horror Hunks: Mark De Alessandro in The Vineyard

Mark De Alessandro is one of the busiest men in Hollywood. In addition to acting and his stunt work, De Alessandro has been Sylvester Stallone's body double for much of the last 25 years. De Alessandro has also doubled for Mandy Patinkin, Eric Roberts, Mickey Rourke, Robert Duvall, Tom Berenger, Kurt Russell and Al Pacino. If you check out Mark's IMDB, his credits include some of the biggest hits of the last 3 decades.

In 1989, De Alessandro showed a little skin as the mechanic in the horror flick, The Vineyard. The Vineyard introduces us to a doctor, luring young healthy people to his island in order to suck out their essence to feed his own immortality. The film is a silly, fun and enjoyable flick that screams the 90's with both the less than stellar acting, the clothes and the memorable John Hong.

If you're a horror fan, and are looking for a new flick to watch this Halloween season, The Vineyard is a fun choice if you can find it. There are the usual female boob flashes of course, but the astounding assets of Mark De Alessandro, although brief, balance it out nicely!
